Mary lost herself in the moment, savoring the kiss as she held onto Johnny like he was the only thing that mattered in the world. And for all she knew, he was in this world. She would venture out to see who she could find soon, particularly because she hadn't seen her parents or Rob for a few planets, but for now... for now, it was just the two of them.
She eventually, reluctantly broke the kiss. She was still mindful of not pushing him too far. She knew that it had taken her timeline's Johnny months before he felt comfortable moving things further physically, and she would never want to push things into uncomfortable territory for this Johnny.
She didn't even bother wishing that things were simpler between them. It was always going to be complicated. Even if she got out of this situation as an alien abductee, even if she got back to her time and the Johnny of that time, there were dozens of ways that things would never be simple. She wouldn't trade it for anything.
She nodded to the coat on the floor.
"I take it you're on board with staying inside and avoiding the cold out there?" She never had liked winter weather. She sucked it up and dealt with it, but if there was nothing to be hunted, she'd much rather curl up with a blanket and a good meal.
"I've good food and a TV in here. Knowing our luck, it probably only gets the Hallmark channel, but I'm guessing we could find something to do if we made it a day inside." She looked at him, really hoping he'd say yes. She hated the time between seeing each other these days. She was glad that he seemed to be back with the group, but it seemed that the group was more fractured than ever.
