Mary woke up in a cabin that looked like Christmas threw up all over. There was just a second of sadness as she thought about how her dad and mom had done Christmas back home, back in her time. She suspected that they'd wanted to give their kids something normal, and her mom had always sung carols as she'd decorated the tree and baked Christmas cookies. It was the closest to normal that the Winchesters ever got. Not that Mary had any complaints.
She dressed quickly, bundling up against the snow. And then she headed out to see the situation outside and see who she could find. It seemed like the aliens were splitting up their group even more than usual now. She wasn't sure what that meant, but she knew it was nothing good. She half-expected to find herself alone one of these days. After all, the last two places she'd been had only seen one other abductee. Whether there were others hiding out elsewhere, she didn't know.
It didn't take too much walking before she saw someone else. Her breath caught in her throat and yet again, she found herself unable to believe that he was actually here. Maybe this was all just a dream. The twinkle of Christmas lights reflecting against the softly falling snow didn't exactly soothe her worries about whether or not this was real.
She moved as quickly as she could through the snow, all but running to get to him. She couldn't quite fight off the feeling that their time was limited. Wasn't it always?
