Laurel glanced around them at Emma's definition.
"It's some sort of freakish combination of the two, isn't it? I suppose we'll just have to keep an eye out for any twins separated at birth or dogs or children in need, won't we?"
She glanced over at Emma.
"What? The elves? The only elves we have are humans pretending. Do you have elves where you come from?" She frowned a little. It would never get any less strange to meet someone from a world that was very different from her own.
She held out her hand to the young woman.
"I'm Laurel. You seem to be taking this pretty well for someone who just got stuck in a place that's not your home."
Emma seemed calm, and Laurel had to wonder if she'd somehow been a part of their group for awhile now. Truthfully, she hadn't met everyone in the group. But she thought she would have noticed if there was a teenager running around.
