Emma woke up with a start and, after looking around, had something very clear, cogent and relevant to say. Namely:
"Bwuh?"
She'd fallen asleep with a mossy stretch of dirt as her pillow. Now she was in what looked like a Lifetime holiday movie.
"Could be worse, could be Syfy," she said as she threw off the heavy red blanket and got up. The floor creaked slightly as she padded across it to the window. It was frosted over a little, but not enough to keep Emma from seeing more Lifetime-y scenery outside.
And, hey, look at that. Someone else who seemed as confused as Emma felt.
Fortunately, unlike Forest of Freak Animal World, this one came complete with a wardrobe. Literally. Emma couldn't help but reach all the way in and rap her knuckles against the back. No magical lampposts to be seen. That was okay. Aslan probably wouldn't like her much.
There were some delightfully shocking outfits inside the wardrobe. Emma smiled as she got dressed - real, actual clothes! - and then sighed as she put on a huge red wool coat that completely cancelled out the low-cut top's effect.
Then she headed out into what looked like the village square, complete with ginormous Christmas tree and cheerfully singing choir of... elves?
Elves.
"Oh, joy," Emma said as she walked up to Laurel. She didn't need to be a telepath to tell the fellow blonde was also a fellow stranger here. But she peeked inside her mind anyway, just to be sure. "This is weird." Emma held out her hand. "Emma Frost. Nice to meet you."
