Benjy woke up to a washed out, mint green hair color. Unfortunately, after a quick shower and some insults from the mirror, there was nothing he could do to get his natural blonde back.

Instead of fighting it (or shaving it off, as some of the other students were considering), Benjy just opted for a hooded sweatshirt and kept the hood up to cover his hair, and made his way down for breakfast. It was earlier than most of the students got up for Saturday breakfast, but there were a few students already digging into sausages or cereals. Benjy had to laugh a bit at some of the students and professors trying to cover up their rainbows of hair. A couple of poor second years looked as if, in an attempt to charm their hair, they actually singed the ends of off.

Finding a couple of open seats, Benjy sat down, began filling his plate, and amused himself watching all of the other students.

Dorcas had woken up rather earlier this morning. To her dismay she was finding it impossible to sleep in with all the noise that was going on down stairs in the Gryffindor common room. It didn't take her long to realize why. When Dorcas finally rolled out of bed and moved her body slowly towards the showers. Dorcas didn't know what shocked her first. The mirror, who was usually quite charming towards Dorcas, was throwing insults at her, specifically about her hair. Oh, the hair. A slight gasp escaped Dorcas' lips before a grin eventually creased her cheeks. Her hair, which had turned into a shade of purple that had a tinge of blue through it, looked absolutely ridiculous. Dorcas' eyes darted towards other side of the room were a fifth year shrieked, unlike Dorcas she didn't think any part of this was entertaining.

After showering and trying a few tricks with her wand in attempt to get her blond back Dorcas just shrugged and hoped the color of her hair will eventually fade. She watched in amusement as one of her dorm mates bustled around the room trying to find a hat to cover her rather bright, electric pink hair. While most of her fellow students opted for wearing hats or hooded jackets, Dorcas wore her blueberry hair with pride. She had let her hair fall naturally today, twisting one piece of hair back and even wore her blue cardigan to match her current hair shade. One of the girls she shared the dorm with shot her a few looks before she made her way to the common room and through the portrait hole, unlike some people, Dorcas had the ability to laugh at herself.

Entering the Great Hall, Dorcas couldn't help but chuckle. Dorcas didn't know what she found more humorous; the fact that the majority of the student body was hiding their hair in shame or the hair colors of those brave enough to leave their locks uncovered. As she lingered in the doorway she peered along the Gryffindor table to see if she could spot anybody she talked to. This task, was proving to be difficult because she didn't know what color hair everybody had woken up with. She knew from the journals that Lily was also sporting a similar shade of blue and that Kira was sporting a gray. She moved her eyes towards the Ravenclaw table to see if she could spot her friend.

Unsuccessful in finding a familiar face, she made up for it by finding a place to sit. She moved swiftly towards the middle of the Hall passing her fellow housemates that were discussing the topic on everybody's mind. Her failure of spotting Kira was however redeemed when she spotted the other Fenwick. Breezing past him she noticed he was hiding under a hooded jacket. Dorcas was starting to think that Lily had been right - The gentlemen seemed to be more insecure about the hair fiasco then the girls were. She reached the spot where she intended on eating breakfast, took a seat and poured herself some Pumpkin juice whilst she packed her plate with some food. She glanced up towards the entrance of the hall quickly to see if anybody familiar had wandered in. Dorcas was getting a little impatient and was desperately seeking a friend she could laugh with.

Remus woke early that morning with his stomach rumbling loudly. He wasn't really fully awake after he finished dressing, snatched his book of the bed side table and made his way out of the dormitory and down to the common room. Food, it was the one thing on his mind. The common room was much noisier than usual, but he didn't see anything different. Well, there were a few students with different colored hair, but it hardly registered.

Making his way down the corridors, he started to get a feeling that something wasn't quite right. There were too many people wearing hats or covering their heads with hooded sweatshirts. He paused for a moment, and set off at a near run, his heart thudding in his chest. It didn't even cross his mind to actually mind a mirror.

The Great Hall was humming with students who were all talking excitedly about the different colored hair their mates were sporting. Remus's mind wasn't fully awake when he looked around, seeing Benjy sitting near him and covering his hair with his hoodie.

"Any idea what's going on there, Benjy?" he asked a bit stupidly. The idea hadn't even occurred to Remus that his hair had probably changed too and he was completely oblivious he was sporting lavender locks.

Benjy was eating on autopilot, lost deep in thought over possible solutions for the hair epidemic. All things considered, it wasn't that much of an issue. At least with everyone being victim, individuals weren't singled out the way most of the other pranks tended to do. One thing was apparent, whoever was to blame had to be respected for their thoroughness.

It was during all of this thought that Remus rushed Benjy back to the moment. It was so startling that Benjy snapped his head at the sound of Remus' voice with a wedge of toast still hanging from his mouth.

"Oh, morning, Remus," Benjy said around the piece of toast. He finished chewing, silently chiding himself for forgetting his manners. After his mouth was clear, he explained, "It seems that everyone woke up with their hair dyed to some random color. I do not think anyone knows who's to blame, either."

Benjy lowered his hood to showcase his mint hair. "Lavender and light green are not so bad, are they? I saw a first year with day-glow green. He will certainly have trouble sleeping if it does not tone soon."

Remus nodded a bit, his braining was finally attempting to start catching with everything that was going on. Everyone had different colored hair, no one to blame...as Benjy removed his hood and revealed his hair and mentioned lavender, his jaw dropped in horror.

Grabbing a knife and held it up, now seeing that he had been wandering around half asleep with a lovely head full of lavender hair. Not just purple, bloody lavender!

"You've got to be joking!" he breathed, his face flushing with color. "Great, just great." Not so bad? Not so bad?! Remus wanted to retort something about humiliation but for some reason he took a moment to actually look around the Great Hall.

Some of the Professors were up at the staff table and Remus couldn't help but smile when he saw that no other than Dumbledore was sporting bubblegum pink hair. There were a few males who were sporting some rather girly colors and a bit of the humiliation was starting to wane. Looking around a bit more he also noticed Dorcas over at the Gryffindor table, proudly sporting a head of hair that resembled a blue berry. He gave a wave and gestured for her to come over if she wanted.

"Guess it's not too bad," Remus replied, not attempting to pull some of the locks down so he could look at them properly. Oh this was a brilliant way to start a weekend.

As Remus grabbed the knife, Benjy froze in horror, afraid of what might happen next. However, his initial suspicions were completely cleared.

"Perhaps you should eat something. Mum always says a spot of breakfast helps to make a day better. Please, join me, if you would like. Are you acquainted with any hair restorative spells or potions?" Benjy asked as he offered one of the open seats with a wave of his hand.

Before giving Remus a chance to answer, Benjy asked, "Why would I joke about hair? Is hair a funny topic?" Being a literal person, Benjy often missed the mark on random turns of phrase unless he had a chance to process through the intention behind the comment.

No matter what he did, Rabastan's hair remained banana yellow. The fact that everyone else's hair had also changed color overnight made him chuckle a bit and after a short debate with himself he chose to just pretend nothing was wrong. Everyone who tried to cover their hair in embarrassment only stood out more clearly, so acting like nothing was wrong would make him seem less conspicuous, right?

The Great Hall was even more noisy than usual that morning, with people comparing their new hair colors and mocking others. Rabastan scanned the room quickly but was unable to locate any of his mates, so he took a seat at the end of the Slytherin table, hoping he wouldn't have to deal with wise-assed Gryffindors today.

The idea of food made Remus's stomach growl again, louder this time that he wouldn't be surprised if Benjy heard it himself. As he began to sink down into his seat he was a bit shocked when Benjy asked about hair being a joke. He froze for a moment, a bit confused.

"Just an express. And, this isn't really what I need right now," Remus explained shortly, reaching for some eggs and toast. Deciding to try and avoid something to Benjy that would be taken literally he turned back to the charms. "I was going to head back upstairs at some point to see what I can find. I'd be more than open to any suggestions."

His brain had been trying to figure out if anything would work in the past few minutes but he was coming up empty handed. He buttered and put jam on his toast and chewed, still glancing up at every so often to look at what little of the lavender hair he could see.

Once Remus waved to Dorcas to come over it had taken a while to actually get there. She had noticed him sitting next to Benjy and her eyes narrowed to focus on his face then his hair. She felt her hand hit her mouth as she gasped then giggled.

She wandered over to the Ravenclaw table with a ridiculous grin on her face. Her grin only widened when she saw that Benjy had uncovered his set of locks. She looked at the boys as she raised her eyebrows and bit her lip. "Good morning. If it makes it any better I must saw Lavender has never looked so good, neither has green." She spoke playfully attempting to keep a straight face.

Her face grew a little more serious as she looked down at Remus. "You have any idea what did this?" She asked suggestively, raising an eyebrow and smirking. After the Charms corridor Dorcas couldn't lie and say that the thought never crossed her mind and well, this kind of prank wasn't a far stretch from their ones in the past.

"Go ahead, get all your laughs out."

Remus tired not to be too upset upon Dorcas's arrival and her completely natural reaction. It would be the first of many similar reactions he had a feeling he'd be getting for the rest of the day, so he figured he should just get used to it.

"Your hair looks rather lovely yourself Ms. Blueberry," he smirked back, only blushing slightly when she complimented their colors. "Apparently we were destined for pastels today. Maybe we can find some others and have a whole Easter set. Dumbledore would probably be on our board with us."

He hadn't the foggiest how exactly this had happened. It was something that the Marauders wished they had thought up, but the scale was so huge he didn't know if any one else in the school would have actually been up to it. He had seen Rabastan enter the Hall but he wasn't about to ridicule anyone about their hair. Other than James or Sirius, that is.

"I swear on my honour as a prefect I had absolutely nothing to do with this," he looked at both of them seriously. "Really, none of us, unless I'm in the dark as well." The size of it was impressive, I mean, they had been talking about turning the entire school upside-down but agreed it would be too tricky. The hair color changing was simpler, but not something they had thought of, not recently at any rate.

Dorcas felt a tinge of worry wash over her as Remus responded. The last thing she wanted was for someone to take her laughs seriously, especially Remus. She joined the other two, taking a seat at table before responding. She let a frown escape her lips but quickly recovered with a small smile. "I would never laugh at you Silly, even if your hair is that charming." She glanced up at the teacher's table where Dumbledore was being his usually delightful self. "Besides it could be worse, I don't think anyone looks quite as amusing as Dumbledore."

She smiled slightly as she felt her cheeks grow a little pink. "Why, thank you kind, sir." She teased. She laughed lightly at Remus' idea and looked around the Great Hall to see what other ridiculous colored locks the students had. She looked up at Dumbledore a second time and a smirk lit up her face. "I don't think he could resist. I mean, he doesn't look half bad and he seems to be enjoying it, well as much as anyone could enjoy pink hair."

By the time Remus had responded her eyes were glancing towards a certain Slytherin across the room. RabatseWell that had ruled the Marauders out. Dorcas was a little curious on who exactly managed this prank. For one, a part of her wanted to thank the very creative individual because she was finding it far too entertaining, on the other the hand she wanted to know exactly when she could expect her blond locks back. As much as she was enjoying her blueberry hair she knew it would get old very fast.

"Well then who did it? I mean Slughorn is looking a bit seedy up there." She glanced his way and laughed at the thought. His hair was a similar shade of blue, though it was lacking the purple tinge that she had. He seemed to look a little more worried then the rest of the staff, Dorcas dismissed it as being Slughorn's pride regarding his appearance. She turned to Benjy and instantly grinned as she thought of Kira. "Have you seen your sister today?"

Remus felt a surge of guilt. Normally he didn't like being the butt of jokes and he was just extra crabby today. He sighed and glanced up at her.

"Sorry, Dor, just in a shitty mood this morning s'all," he muttered, but then smiled at the mention of Dumbledore. "He does seem to be enjoying himself, doesn't he?"

He shrugged, looking around. True Slughorn looked a little less than thrilled, but he the majority of the staff seemed to be feeling that way. "Maybe one of them bullock-ed something up and they're trying to work it out themselves." They certainly all looked less than thrilled.

Remus fell quiet for a few moments, waiting for Benjy to speak and busied himself with breakfast. His stomach was calming down a bit, but he felt like he could eat an entire cow today.

Following up with Remus' initial question, Benjy answered, "There are two charms I can think of. I have never tried either of them to change something on this scale, so I can't be sure if there would be any adverse side effects."

As Dorcas came over and pointed out their hair, Benjy flushed a little. His sister's friend's could do that to him with very little effort. He let Dorcas and Remus have their exchange while letting his face calm down. Even Benjy was picking up that Remus had something else on his mind that was bothering him more than the purple hair.

"No, I have not talked to her today. Did you need her for something?" Benjy asked Dorcas.

Dorcas watched Remus as he glanced up at her, looking apologetic. Her eyebrows creased as her concern grew. "It's fine, Remus." She breathed and caught his eyes, trying to read him. Dorcas was beginning to think he had a little more on his mind than his lavender locks.

"Wouldn't surprise me. All day yesterday they were preoccupied with that bloody corridor and it makes sense that something has gone wrong in the process."

Her concerned eyes rested on Remus briefly as he busied himself with the food that sat in front of him. She opened her mouth to say something but thought it was best to leave it alone, considering the location of their conversation. Her eyes rested there a moment longer before looking back at Benjy.

"No, nothing in particular. We spoke on the journals briefly but I was just asking considering the whole hair fiasco. I think she's not too pleased with the hair color she woke up with." A small smile spread across her lips, well an attempted smile, she hoped her concern for the other boy wasn't that obvious. She tried a little harder to concentrate on Benjy. "So are you looking forward to Quidditch starting?" She asked.

Benjy had already finished all of his food and was draining the last bit of pumpkin juice from his cup.

"I hope that she is not taking this too traumatically. She probably sees the humor in the situation, though." Benjy replaced his cup on the table and his eyes noticeably lit up at the mention of Quidditch.

"And I cannot wait for Quidditch to start. We have a couple of new players so we are going to put in some extra practices over the next week or two. I'm supposed to be meeting them outside to do some introductions. Thank you for joining me for breakfast. Sorry that I have to leave before you are both finished. Oh, and Remus, if you would be interested, I can try one of those spells to change your hair back to normal." Benjy folded his napkin and placed it on top of his plate.

He tuned out rather quickly to the conversation as he ate. They chatted about Quidditch, thankful that if they were more or less ignoring the distracted and worried look on his face.

When the conversation turned back to Remus's hair he paused and looked at the Ravenclaw. He wasn't sure if he wanted to mess with his hair at all. He didn't really want to make it any worse, but then again, he didn't think it could get any worse.

"Go ahead, Benjy, if you're feeling up to it," Remus braced himself. If it got too much worse he could always end up just shaving the lot off and using a regrowing charm to replace it, though that felt like a lot of work for something so silly.

Okay, Remus. I will give it a try." Benjy produced his wand and pushed his sleeves up. Taking a steadying breath, he pointed the rosewood wand at Remus' face.

"Colovaria," he said clearly. The air rippled ever so slightly from the tip of the wand to Remus' head.

At first, Benjy thought that the spell was working as intended. The ripple passed down Remus' hair and the color began to fade for a moment. But then the lavender shade came right back and Remus' hair began to grow. Once the hair stopped growing, there was easily an extra foot of hair hanging over Remus' shoulders. Still lavender, of course.

"Oh, no. Remus, I'm sorry! I can give it a quick cut. That won't take but a moment, I promise!" Benjy was panicking slightly because the spell did not work. 'No, it worked. "A spell always works. Just not always as intended",' Benjy quoted in his mind. It was one of the first things he could remember learning as a kid, and it was one thing he believed more than any other.

Remus felt the hair on his head being tossed around a bit like it was in a light wind. For a moment he thought it was working, the short fringe he had pulled down in front of his eyes turned his normal brown. But Remus's jaw almost hit the table when the lavender returned and the hair was soon well below his chin. His face turned dark red as he flushed and attempted to get it out of his face.

"No!" Remus held his hands up to Benjy and his offer to 'fix it'. He really didn't want to see how exactly the Ravenclaw would fix it, but he didn't want it to get any worse. Not with magic anyway. "Bloody hell, I didn't think it could get any worse..."

He frowned, wanting to snap at Benjy, but he held back. Remus had asked for it, and Benjy had just been trying to help. He glanced over at Dorcas, his face still beat red. It was entirely likely his hair was just as long as Sirius's.

"You wouldn't happen to have a hairband, do you?"

After Benjy had briefly discussed the upcoming Qudditich season she had looked on the table for something to silence her growling stomach. She settled her eyes back onto Benjy and Remus as she grabbed a piece of fruit. She bit her lip, something she always did when she was nervous, as Remus gave Benjy permission to try a spell on his hair. She was a little concerned on the outcome. Dorcas had tried a few spells earlier that morning and they all backfired, thankfully her hair wasn't damaged in the process, but they still had backfired and that concerned her, especially considering how she had just discovered how sensitive Remus was about the current state of his hair.

Her eyes widened as she watched the spell do its work. She flashed a look at Benjy, still with wide eyes before glancing back at Remus' red face. It took her a while to process what he had asked her, "Oh, yes! I do." She said quickly realizing the one she always carried around her wrist. She pushed her cardigan sleeve up slightly to reveal her wrist and the black headband. She took it off, handing it over to Remus, hoping that he wouldn't retaliate against Benjy. Her concern began to ease over her again. This was the last thing Remus needed considering his current mood. She considered saying something like 'it's just hair, it's fine, it can be fixed' but thought she better leave it. She shot a look Benjy's way again before looking down at the plate in front of her.

Benjy slouched back in his seat, leaving his wind sitting on the table. He really was trying to help. And, by all logic, the spell should have worked as intended. Benjy kept replaying the incident through his mind. Remus' hair had started to change, so they were on to something, but there was no way Remus - or anyone else - would let him try anything to fix the charmed hair.

It was only after Dorcas shared her headband with Remus did Benjy speak up again.

"I'm sorry. Whoever did this must have included counter-charms that I am not aware of." He wasn't sure what else he could say without making Remus even angrier, so Benjy kept his eyes down and stayed silent. Benjy's mother had scolded him during his younger years for talking too much when it was better to keep quiet. He had already sincerely apologized, and could only hope that Remus would not hold this against him.

Remus had to mentally count to about 25 to calm himself down. It wasn't Benjy's fault, he had asked him to try and fix it, he should have known the spell would probably backfire. He thanked Dorcas as she handed him a headband and pulled the hair out of his face. Well, at least right wasn't in the way right now.

"Sorry, Benjy, just, well, thanks for trying anyway," he tried to give him a kind look, but he wasn't sure if he was managing it properly. It figured something like this would happen, if had been him he would have made sure the hair color stayed as long as humanly possible. "I should have known, it wouldn't be that easy."

He kept his eyes on his plate, chewing quietly. Great, now he had a head full of long, lavender hair, a full moon to look forward to and just snapped at two of his friends. Bloody hell, he was on a roll today.

Benjy had a pair of scissors inside a small medical kit in the Ravenclaw dormitory, but figured mentioning this to Remus would probably just exacerbate the situation. That and the silence that hung over the table was suppressing any words that may have formed in Benjy's mouth.

But it was nearing the time he had to be at the Quidditch pitch. He checked his pocket watch, as much to check the time as it was a nervous habit. "Please excuse me, but I need to meet my teammates at the pitch." Benjy stood up and pocketed his wand. "Please let me know if you figure out a solution to this problem. I'd be most interested in any information."

Dorcas glanced up at Benjy and smiled slightly as he excused himself. "Good luck with Qudditich practice." She said rather quietly before putting her head down to concentrate on her food while Benjy addressed Remus again. Dorcas wasn't sure how long it took Benjy to walk away, it could have been seconds or more like minutes. She had busied herself in the meantime, not wanting to interrupt whatever was being said amongst the two boys or step on anyone's toes. She waited for Benjy to finish up his conversation and leave on his own accord before saying anything to Remus.

When she looked up to notice Benjy's departure she scooted along the bench to settle in a little closer to Remus and placed a chocolate frog in front of him. She breathed out, hoping this wouldn't sound too dorky. She looked at him, her eyes filled with concern and after a minute that felt like a year she spoke softly. "I'm giving you my last chocolate frog." She paused as she collected her thoughts. "Its not just any chocolate frog, you know? Its a lot more than that. I'm giving you my very last chocolate frog and I'm obsessed with the things." Her eyebrows creased as she realized she was getting off the point and probably overusing the words 'chocolate frog'. "My point is, you need this," her head motioning towards the frog on the table, "more that I do. And like I said, its more than a chocolate frog. It means that I care enough about you to give you my very last chocolate frog." She sighed, beginning to grow frustrated with herself for getting besides the point. "What I'm trying to say is that whenever you're in a 'shitty' mood I'm here, for whatever.. Even if you feel like yelling at someone." She shook her head at her stupidity and rolled at her eyes as she blushed slightly. "The frog was supposed to be a symbol. And it didn't sound that ridiculous in my head." She rambled on trying to make sense of it all.

Remus waved goodbye to Benjy, feeling slightly worse than ever. "Thanks..." he muttered, nervously fidgeting with his mane of hair. It was simply awful, he didn't know what to do.

When Dorcas scooted next to him and placed the chocolate frog in front of him and before he could ask any of the rather stupid questions bubbling up in his mind, she was speaking to him. The words were bouncing rather oddly off his ears; it was sweet, and adorable that his made him blush ever so slightly. He knew that she loved chocolate frogs (course he just assumed most of his friends did because the Marauders always had a constant supply in their trunks but that's beside the point) but it was very touching along with everything else she had said. Promising to be there for him, for whatever. As someone who had been ignored by his peers to so many years of his childhood, well, it meant a lot.

"Thanks, Dor, really," he took the frog box in his hands and smiled as he sighed, but it was a happy sigh. But he furrowed his brow when she started getting frustrated. "I mean, well, I'm here for you too. For whatever, I know I'm not always around but, if you ever need anything, I'm here."

His mind started to wonder as to whether or not it meant that it was a friendship thing or a more than that thing but he tried not to think about it at the moment. Before he lost his nerve he reached out and gave her hand a squeeze, hoping she'd take it for what he meant it, which he wasn't even sure what that was.

Dorcas felt her body immediately relax as he smiled at her, giving her the reassurance she was after. For whatever reason, Remus' mood had impacted her and when he smiled her concern slowly, but not fully, began to diminish.

She returned his smile with one of her own, only one that didn't quite reach her eyes. Her mood this morning was beginning to confuse her and she became puzzled when she thought of how easily Remus had affected her. Brief thoughts of him had passed through her mind over the past few days but she didn't over analyze them at all, which surprised her. Whenever it came to Dorcas fancying anyone she found it simple, this however, was uncharted territory for her. "You're welcome," she said softly as his words sunk in. She met his eyes for a moment before raising an eyebrow. "Be careful Remus, I'll remember that." She teased, pausing for a moment before growing sincere, "Thank you."

Her eyes fell down to their hands as she felt his hand on hers and her eyes lingered there for a moment before they returned to look at the boy. Dorcas concentrated on him for a moment before she felt a sincere smile spread across her face, her first for quite a while. She dropped her eyes in hopes he wouldn't catch the slight sparkle that began to fill them. Dorcas was surprised how calm she was considering all of the thoughts that had just passed through her mind. She glanced briefly at their hands again before they separated. She looked up at the boy once more trying to understand at least one of the many thoughts that were swirling in her mind.

She took a quick sip of pumpkin juice before returning to look at Remus. She pushed all her thoughts to the back of her mind, anxiously waiting to try and decode them later. "So, what have you got planned for today?" She looked around anxiously, praying the conversation wouldn't take an awkward turn.

Remus couldn't do anything other than smile, feeling normal beside the fact that he had a head of long lavender hair and was going to turn into a beast tonight. If she remembered that he was there for her, well, that was a good thing right?

There was a small moment of silence and Remus felt like he may have pushed the line too far. As he removed his hand and the conversation moved to their plans for the day he got a bit nervous.

"Um, well, I actually have to meet with McGonagall about all this mess," he said rather casually. "You know, what to tell the students, what spells they shouldn't try, keeping them in line, all that stuff."

And...ripping my skin off and hiding in a broken down all shack of the rest of the night... his face fell a little at the last thought.

"What about you, anything fun?"

A slight 'oh' escaped her lips when Remus told her what his day would entail. "Oh, the duties of a prefect." She said wryly and rolled her eyes playfully before munching on a strawberry.

The discussion of their plans reminded Dorcas that she was supposed to be seeing her brother today. She looked up and down the Ravenclaw table to see if she could spot the familiar blonde amongst the first years. "Well, I'm supposed to be spending the day with my brother.. If I can manage to find him." She paused and turned her eyes to Remus before continuing. "I'm supposed to be seeing Kira and Lily tonight, which should be fun." She sighed and shrugged her shoulders.

She frowned when she realized she ought to get going and she sighed as grabbed another strawberry. "I ought to get going, I mean for the sake of humanity I better go track down Arcas before he gets into any more trouble." She bit her lip as she began to worry. Her brother hadn't adapted to Hogwarts as well as her parents had hoped and now it was up to Dorcas to get him settled. She got up from the table, eating her last piece of fruit in the process. "We'll speak later?" She asked as she slowly began to make her departure.

Remus was a little sad when Dorcas said she needed to be going. She had actually made him feel not crabby for the first time this morning, and it had been a distraction from everything that was bugging him. He watched her grab another strawberry and he smiled at her.

"Have fun, tell the girls hello for me," he smiled at her. "And thanks, really. We'll talk later, yeah." He hoped one of the Marauders would show up at some point, but then again he probably would have to actually meet with the staff to get caught up on what was happening with their hair. As Dorcas left he nibbled on a strawberry, his eyes wandering around the hall.
