Flying, just innocent flying Date: May 20th, 2025 Characters: Lily Potter & Dalton Pucey Location: Hogwarts' quidditch pitch Private/Public: Private Rating/Warnings: Knowing these two language Summary: Dalton isn't scheming, he swears, he's just taking a interesting young lady flying.
Standing at the pitch with his broom and a Peony, he watched the direction of the school for red hair. His father, the school's potions Master Adrian Pucey, had taught him that when you apologize, you do it thoroughly and sincerely, Slytherin in your blood or not (not that Dalton would have made a great Slytherin, though he always admired the way Hufflepuff shared his strange work ethic. No matter what his father said or the other Houses did right though, Dalton knew he was a Gryffindor through and through - brash, cocky at times, daring, loyal - he was proud of it). Shaking the thought from his head he went over his plan agani - he'd befriend her, hopefully start to learn her secrets, find out what she exploded so violently at an odd little offhand kiss, and then make that particular mistake right, all while winning her heart and doing it right under James' nose.
Thinking on James for a moment his face grew red. How could James pick Colin Creevey of all people to live with? Were the Universities some sort of new House rivalry? Gwyneth had gone to Dippet, his father gave lectures there and their family donated regularly to the library and the art program in his mother's name. There was no question as to where he'd go, since his birth and the family moving back to England, everyone had known. And now Potter and his other friends - his teammates, his brothers in this world - had decided to shut him out because he was obligated by family history to attend a different school than them? It was too much, and he wouldn't take it. So, without realizing it, he'd decided. Lily was his in. She was just enough outside the reach of James, but hurting her would cripple the older brothers and that was just was Dalton needed. Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself down with eyes closed, opening them just in time to see Lily coming out of the castle and heading in his direction.
Wait a minute, was that excitement unfurling in his chest? Surely just anticipation of the plot, he told himself, as a small smile he couldn't help graced his lips.
