Justin/Abbie
She paced in front of the shop next door to the bakery for almost five minutes. Even though she promised Al she would try coffee, Abbott secretly hoped she could convince him to go elsewhere. With school just around the corner, she knew it was going to be difficult enough to seeing Justin around the house; seeing him now would just make things worse.
On her fiftieth or so pass, she saw a boy in the alley in between the buildings sending sparks at a what looked like a cat, cowering in a corner. "Hey! Stop that!" she shouted. The boy turned, sneered at her and stuck out his tongue. Next, he turned back around and sent another set of sparks.
Fuming, she sprinted the short distance between her and animal. "Petrificus Totalus!" The boy's body snapped into a stiff board and fell forward, face first. The moment she stepped closer to the creature, it cowered deeper into the corner. "It's okay...I'm not going to hurt you." As she knelt down and offered her hand for it to smell, she noticed the large ears and lion-like tail. It was tiny and bleeding. Still coaxing it toward her she saw it also was limping.
Once it was close enough she scooped it up and ran right into the front of the bakery. "Justin!" she all but shouted as she ran inside. "I need your kit!"
