The sound of his voice saying her name should have triggered her brain to slow down. Instead, she kissed him again. It was only when her hands gripped the back of his shirt, ready to rip it off over his head that she realized how fast they were going.
Pulling away, Brigid panted slightly. She leased her hold on his shirt and smoothed out the wrinkles. When she looked up at him, she said, "I need..." While she meant to say she needed a moment, but the words got caught in her throat. Without another word, she rested her head on his shoulder, willing her body to cool down before she did anything else.
