While Brigid knew she wanted a flatmate, up until then she hadn't been actively searching for one. Now, a possible one stood in front of her, she couldn't pass up the opportunity. Since Rose was a Ravenclaw, she thought the best approach would be logical.
"Well, if you were to think about it, would you say it would be within the realm of possibilities?" she asked. "Two people splitting costs would reduce the amount of monetary expenses and having another person around in case of emergency medical conditions is a responsible, adult thing to do. Plus, parents would be less likely to worry knowing someone else was in the flat with you."
She purposefully avoided the suggestion of rooming with her until Rose thought about living with someone. However, she did have every intention of asking.
"I think motherhood should be a balance," she replied. "My mum raised me by herself and work much more than what would be considered full time. Yet, she was always there when I needed her and when it was important."
