Ryan ran full bore down the two flight staircase toward the front door, the cat who'd somehow gotten into his flat screeching and running faster than any animal should be able to run - just out of reach. He slammed into the door, unable to stop himself, and it flew up, the cat tearing off into the street as if he'd been the one to startle it have to death and not quite the other way around.
Why hadn't he stayed at his parents'? It had been weird enough sleeping in an entirely silent flat for the first time the night before, but now he had cats infesting the place!
In a huff, he turned around heavily and ran right into someone peering into the window display. Familiar blond hair and the smell of some sort of flower he knew by heart greeted him and he put out hands to steady her. "Weasley," he said with a smile, his voice full in a way that he got when he was speaking to a particularly attractive woman.
