She stayed on the floor for almost ten more minutes until her head felt steady enough to sit up. Pushing herself off the floor, Brigid kept her eyes closed. After a few more deep breaths, she was able to stand. Her first few steps were unsteady and she stumbled into the nearest sink.
Trying the faucet on, Brigid cupped her hands and rinsed out her mouth. While it wasn't a full teeth cleaning, it would have to do. She took a drink before washing her hands. Once she felt semi-human, she turned back to Rose.
"Thank you," she said again. She shuffled forward, realizing she was missing her shoe. "Have you seen my shoe?"
