Re: Abbott/Justin
"Hey!" Abbie's head snapped up and around to face her friend. The empty cup in her hand was abandoned as she grabbed the front her best friend's shirt and pulled him dangerously close to her face.
"No one not even you gets to call my best friend a coward," she said, steely. "You are the bravest, most loyal, caring person in the world and anyone who says otherwise has to deal with me."
She kept him close to her face while she got to say what was on her mind. With her voice low to keep from anyone eavesdropping, she said, "I may think Wayne is a ball-less pussy for not being out but only because he can't even be out to you. Fuck, he can't even say the words out loud to himself, so forgive me if I believe that you are too good for someone who can't be true to himself."
With a gentleness she didn't feel, she pushed Justin away from her and released his shirt. "I am happy you found someone and that you are moving in some direction, but letting him hide and pretend to be straight only makes the whispering worse and everything you hope to have with him a joke. As long as he's in the closet, you're just a part of his life that isn't worth more idle gossip and lies." She grabbed the nearest bottle of alcohol and drank straight from it.
