CHARACTER SHEET Personal Info
Name: James Sirius Potter Nicknames: Just James. Don’t call him Jimmy, he takes great pride in being named after his grand-father. Birthday: October 31st 2006 (same day as his Granny Weasley) Blood Status: Considered HalfBlood considering his grandmother Lily was a Muggle. Hair: Light brown Eyes: Intense Blue-green as most girls would call it. Height: 6’ Weight: Average for his built. Distinguishing Characteristics: He has a scar on his right shoulderblade. Quidditch accident. Most Endearing/Annoying Qualities: James is passionate. It can go either way. Hobbies: Quidditch Appearance: Standing at an amazing 6 feet, James is taller than both his parents were at his age. I say amazing because considering Harry was never all that tall or massive in built it seems like James is taking more after the Weasleys when it comes to his height. James has dirty blond hair, something they have no idea where he got it from but Ginny argues that it could be higher in their family tree, and blue-green eyes. Even though he shaves everyday, James has mastered the art of letting just enough stubble that he won’t look like a First Year. Before a match, James is usually stressed out like Hell and bites his nails. His mum used to stop him (still does when she sees him do it) but he’s a lot better at hiding it now.
Astrology: Scorpio is the eighth house of the Zodiac and governs the genitalia. Positive traits include magnetic charisma, ambition, drive, a penetrating mind, curiosity, intensity of focus, emotional depth, consistency, persistence, willpower, and the potential for inner transformation and regeneration; negative traits include selfishness, obsessiveness, vindictiveness, hypersensitivity, ruthlessness, cynicism, an inability to understand the word "moderation," and jealousy. It is said that Scorpios embody both the best and the worst of all that are born under the stars, and that there are three kinds of Scorpios: wicked scorpions, cunning serpents, and saintly eagles. What each Scorpio becomes is entirely up to that Scorpio.
Gryffindor Expect stamina, incredible courage, intense and stormy emotions, burning idealism, and indomitable will. Gryffindor Scorpios are never drawn in shades of pastel; they are always blood red and mesmerizing gold. There are few followers born under these aspects; Scorpios born into this house tend to be either leaders or loners. They are well placed on the Quidditch field, where their natural competitive streak and their great store of personal energy make them natural Beaters (or, really, naturals at any position on the field). Expect them to get into frequent duels, and expect them to gravitate naturally to DADA, for all Scorpios are fascinated by anything dark and forbidden, and Gryffindor Scorpios will want to take their place as defenders as early in their careers as possible. Expect passion. Expect wisdom. But don't expect a lot of time to take a breather. Many people born under this aspect also end up as Aurors; they're the perfect "bad cops" to the "good cop" Libra wizards.
Personality: James is a true Gryffindor and has a strong sense of justice and work ethics. He is intense, passionate and idealistic. As much as most of his uncles and his father were procrastinators in their studies, James knows that the only way he can get into Law Enforcement is to work hard for it, and work hard he does. Since he decided not to go pro, he works harder on his academics so he can get in the best University there is in his opinion: The Dumbledore Institute. As any Gryffindor (or any Weasley for that matter) James can be quite a hothead and get into arguments for no other reasons than to get a reaction out of someone. He likes to tease his sister Lily as well as Albus but on an entirely different level. Quite arrogant when he started school, James quickly found out what it meant to be careful about one’s reputation and quieted down. Now, he doesn’t tease anymore but he surely enjoys watching the victim squirm until it goes a bit too far, then he steps in and put an end to it.
James’ history: James wasn’t any different than boys his age when he walked in at Hogwarts except that he was a bit more famous than most. It didn’t take him long to realize that it was easy for him to gather masses around him or have the whole class laugh at a joke he made and he made the most of it. Eventually, it died pretty quickly and James quieted down the act though his arrogance didn’t fade completely until Fifth Year. Being Harry Potter’s son did NOT save you from studying your OWLs.
It was around Fourth Year that girls really started falling on his lap. He knew it was somewhat unfair to the other blokes that he seemed to be getting all the attention but being 15 years old, he didn’t really care. He got to make out with some of the most beautiful girls at school. As time, and girls, went by, James went further with his conquests but there was one thing he never, ever did: make a move on a taken girl.
Because even though James liked the action as much as the next bloke, he couldn’t bring himself to make a girl cheat on her boyfriend with him. It’d piss him off if he was the boyfriend.. In Sixth Year, a lot changed for James though. He met a girl. THAT girl. The one that made his headbeat accelerate. The girl who had the ability to turn him into a klutz. That one girl he would have forsaken all the other girls for.. and she just laughed when he told her that. She had liked to be with James Potter for one night, but for more? No way. Since then, not much has happened with girls for James. He understood through that experience that what he was doing did hurt.
Anything else? Yes. James doesn’t open up to people all that easily. Must be something only the kids of war heroes would understand. Most girls James has been with were with him only for his name. Who wouldn’t be careful after that?
Family
Parents: Harry Potter: James loves his father just like any son loves theirs. James’ personality being closer to the Weasleys, he is much closer to them than he is with Harry. Ginny Potter: James doesn’t mind his mother being at school but in a way he can’t wait to be out of Hogwarts. Ginny is NOT partial to Gryffindor and James is angry that anyone would even think of Ginny not being a fair referee. Siblings: Albus: Sibling rivalry is always present in families and the Potters are no exception. They are as different as two brothers can be but it doesn’t change the fact that he’d do anything for Albus. James, in secret, sometimes steals his brother’s writings and reads them. He is secretly a huge fan. Lily: James adores his sister and would beat anyone who would try to hurt her with his own broomstick. Other Relatives: The whole Weasley family. Hometown: Grimmauld place, London. Other:Familial History: For as far as she could tell, Ginny Weasley had always crushed on Harry. She had tried to see other people, going as far as engaging into a long term relationship with Michael Corner and later on with Dean Thomas but there was something.. off. Something she couldn’t explain. Sure Michael wasn’t the best match for her and Dean was a bit overprotective, denying her of that independence she craved so much, but it wasn’t because her feelings for Harry ran deeper than that, right? RIGHT!?
With things going on and off with Harry in the last year before he left, Ginny wondered if it was her imagination or something else. Maybe.. maybe she was doing a pretty poor job at pretending she really didn’t care about Harry beyond that fact that he was Ron’s best friend? When Harry left, she turned to Neville for some comfort. Unlike the other blokes, Neville never made a move on her in any way and didn’t even seem interested. Her whole sixth year, things escalated until Harry came back one night and shit hit the fan, as Muggles said. Voldemort and his followers took the fight to the school and the students fought for their lives and their freedom. Many didn’t make it, Colin for one. Ginny still feels responsible for her friend’s death, though it wasn’t her fault.
Her brother Fred perished in the fight and the Weasleys took a long, long time to recover from the loss of one of theirs their bond only tightening overtime. Harry seemed happy that everything was over but to Ginny, who had spent so many years observing him, something was off. At first, she had been so very happy to see that he was back, she had not thought for one instant that he would leave ever again but as he packed his bags saying he needed some time off before he started his Auror training, Ginny sat sadly on the porch as she watched him leave her again. Okay, maybe he wasn’t leaving HER but he was leaving and that’s how it felt to her. Then the letters started to come. At first, they were pretty much just about anything but as they kept coming, Harry was opening himself up more and more. She was already back at school and snow was covering the ground when Harry asked her, through one of his letter, if she would marry him. Her first impulse dictated to say yes while an other part of her, her heart, told her it would be a mistake. Harry had only been back for a short while and they had not even been on a proper date together. Neville was of no help at all, preferring to not interfere with her love life. She refused Harry’s offer, remembering how many times they had just failed to be together, as if they weren’t meant to be.
Ginny passed her NEWTs brilliantly and was immediately recruited for Puddlemere United and started training as soon as she was out of school, in June. It was around that time that Harry started to spend a lot more time at the Burrows, randomly joining her for a chat. One night, under the gorgeous moon, Harry proposed again, with his arms around her right after they had shared their first kiss since Fleur and Bill’s wedding day. Stunned, Ginny backed off, shaking her head and ran back to the house where she cried herself to sleep. She mentally kicked herself for not agreeing to marry Harry and spend the rest of her life with him, but her ideal of a steady relationship did NOT involve the boyfriend breaking up to keep her safe, run away to find cursed artefacts or any other reason a bloke like Harry could come up with. She knew Harry enough to know that he would not stop hunting Dark Wizard unless he felt like he had done enough to rid the world from Evil, and being a stay-at-home mother, waiting for him was not an option.
It took Harry a lot more than a few letters for Ginny to even WANT to consider a long term relationship with the only bloke she ever truly loved. About a whole year to be exact and eventually she agreed to date Harry on a regular basis.
In 2004, after having played for Puddlemere United for almost 5 years, Ginny received a bad hit and fell off her broom. She was in a coma for about two weeks and when she opened her eyes it was to a gorgeous sigh. Harry was sleeping on the chair beside the bed, his glasses hanging from the tip of nose. Tears rolled down her temples as she realized that maybe Harry was not going to leave her anymore.
Even though her recovery was quick, Ginny was never able to play Quidditch again. She was still able to fly though and was back on a broom before Harry could try and stop her. Harry, who had stayed with Ginny the whole time of her recovery, took her hand one night and made the most incredible and heartfelt love declaration she had ever heard from him. This time, she didn’t say no. Tears were those of joy and happiness and a year later Ginny was Mrs Ginevra Potter though many just started calling Harry –Harry Weasley.
It didn’t take long for Ginny and Harry to expect their first child, James and just as quickly after he was born, they were welcoming Albus into the family. Lily followed about two years later. As Lily started school, Ginny was recruited to teach flying and to be the official Quidditch referee which she agreed to do. At first it was supposed to be for a year or two but in the end, it ended up being more than that.
School
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor Favorite Subject: DADA. Has nothing to do with the fact that his father teaches this class. Least Favorite Subject: Runes. He tried. Really.. Favorite Teacher: Not a favourite teacher.. but the nurse. She’s just too awesome in his opinion. Least Favorite Teacher: Professor MacIntosh. It is impossible for him to understand why the heck all the girls are drooling like that. He’s not that special. Extracurriculars: Quidditch.. Quidditch.. and Quidditch
Relationships
Friends: To be determined. Crushes: He has been crushing over a girl for some time now. He is not telling anyone. Relationship Status: Single. Sexual Preference: Straight Sexual Experience: Oooh.. is his Mum reading this? Because if she is, he never did anything with anyone. Otherwise, everyone knows that James likes the cupboard of the third floor. He also has become an expert at Silencing Spells and Locking Charms. Current Significant Other: Nobody Past Significant Others: A few girls here and there. Other: James has learned over the years that some girls would do anything to have a private moment with Harry Potter’s oldest son and has quieted down a bit on that front. Looking for a longterm relationship isn’t in his priority for now and even if he wanted to, he never quite sure if they like him for who he is rather than because he is a Potter.
