Ada watched whilst a glass of champagne was placed before her and then whisked away before she'd had so much as a chance to taste it. The steward took the rebuke without so much as an excuse or complaint, and Ada was a little in awe of the service she was experiencing.
Whilst the prince's attention was diverted with the steward, Ada searched her purse for her matches and lit her cigerette, assuming, since he'd offered, that he mustn't be offended by ladies who smoked. She'd known more than a few gentlemen who were.
"What would your Highness like to know? My name is Miss Ada Moncrief, and, as you must know, I am an actress. I'm not sure what else there is about me that could interest you, sir." Her tone was demure and she inhaled her cigarette, exhaling to the side.
