WHO: Ginny Weasley and Hermione Granger WHEN: July 24 WHERE: Around Lockewood. RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete SUMMARY: Ginny misses her best friend, thankfully Hermione only lives a few houses down.
In Ginny's general time frame it was exceedingly rare not to see Hermione, Ron, and Neville at least once a week. Generally she saw Hermione and Ron much more than that unless it was quidditch season and she was immersed in games, training and whatever else happened to pop up. So to be in Lockewood, have considerably fewer obligations to her life, and to live only houses away from Hermione was a welcome change.
The odd part was that she saw even less of her. Although Ginny was ready to admit that a lot of that was due to her slight reluctance to venture out of her own home a lot with Bellatrix Lestrange and Tom Riddle lurking about. Her imagination had a very vivid way of recalling just how she could manage to meet up with Tom Riddle in the middle of a street and things could go very very wrong. So instead Ginny mostly stayed inside under the slightly over-protective wing of Harry who had made the sofa in the living room his new bed.
But the day was sunny and warm, Ginny had finished work early and she felt inspired by Harry and Neville's upcoming birthday to head outside. And she chose to head for Hermione's house intent on asking her to go to the shops and maybe find a present for Harry and Neville's party.
It didn't occur to her until she was stepping onto the front porch that Hermione could be at work, but Ginny raised her hand to knock anyway waiting patiently for someone (hopefully Hermione) to answer the door.
