Everybody let's take off Our fancy pants tonight
James wasn't a fan of weddings. He didn't like having to sit through the ceremonies and the speeches and all manner of sap [unless it was his own, as his eyes glazed over thinking about the possibilities]. His hair was a mess as always, despite the attempts to tame it, and his overall look was just... fancy. He didn't do fancy. Leave that to the other blokes who actually liked dressing up like peacocks and parading around in their trousers and dress robes or tuxedos. James was immensely uncomfortable having to wear this ridiculous get-up, so when all of the pleasantries were over and he'd forced himself to sit through the congratulations just so he wouldn't be considered rude, he made to get out of there in a hurry. Blimey, he needed to get this thing off.
Hands tugged at the muggle-inspired tuxedo dress robes, just managing to undo the awful bow and top button beneath. That bloody bow itched like mad and James did not appreciate having to stop just to get decent purchase on the thing to get it all the way off. He could see the proverbial light just ahead, in the form of the nightclub's door to freedom. Once he'd gotten out of this penguin suit, he had half a mind to return and partake of further festivities because he simply hadn't had enough fire whiskey to make the whole thing anymore enjoyable.
