Something is bubbling behind my back The bottle is ready to blow Say it ain't so
What had started out as an odd day just got a little stranger, and quite a bit more stressful. He'd been elated to see his mates in this world, but after their cheery greetings, onward came the flood of 'bad news' that he never wanted to hear. He needed to see Lily, to figure out where he stood in this place and if he even really existed beyond a mere ghost. James couldn't handle the 'truth' as it was presented, so he abruptly flung open the door to his cabin and rushed out, pacing in the cold and not caring just who saw him, agitated as he was. It couldn't be true, any of it. Furrowed brows and a deep frown adorned his face as he kept pacing, thoughts racing through his mind. Any way he looked at it, things just didn't make sense to his mind. Surely that must be a good sign.
Not quite aware of where he was going, he looked up from his heated pacing and saw a crossroads of sorts; the corner started a new path that he hadn't yet had a chance to explore, and he desperately wanted to get his mind off of things. But then he forced himself to return to his earlier journal conversation and he remembered that Lily wanted to discuss some things with him. Would she be delivering her own 'bad news'? And how closely would it coincide with what Remus and Sirius had to say?
James decided to head down that unknown street, head turning this way and that, taking in the buildings and cataloguing them in his mind. If he was stuck here, he would have to find his way round, so that perhaps one day, he could find a way to get out and to try to fix what his mates had so ominously described of his future.
