Who: Ginny and Fred Weasley When: Backdated to before the body-swap Where: The shop Fred works at Rating: Low, save for maybe some language? Status: In progress
Merlin, Fred was alive. Seeing his handwriting in the journals and hearing people talk about him being here was one thing, but Ginny had to see him for herself. And she'd been putting it off for long enough. She had to know that this wasn't just some joke being played on her, that it wasn't some form of him, long dead that had been preserved in a journal (which she was sure she would know the difference when she saw him). Once she had convinced herself that she was ready to see him, George had come along and told a very.... twin-ish story about Fred being sick and spewing his sick everywhere. Seeing her brother had been put off again.
But now? Now it was time. Sick or not, Ginny was going to see Fred and she just wasn't sure how she felt about that. He was supposed to be dead. Him being here was almost harder to accept than the fact that she had three children running about. To be honest, she was terrified, and exhilarated and... happy. Anymore time that she could spend with her brother? It was great. Seeing George happy again, like he hadn't been in years? It was great.
Pressing her face up against the shop that sold muggle items, Ginny checked to find her brother, making a face when she spotted him. She blew her cheeks out against the glass and crossed her eyes before pulling back with a laugh and stepping in.
