He nodded once in response to Remus's affirmation and then raised his wand again to cast a silencing spell around the establishment, followed by another to distort much of their conversation should anyone feel the need to listen in. Obviously it was widely known that the Blacks had issues in the future, he wouldn't be here if it was some tightly kept secret but for some reason it felt too awkward and uncharacteristic to speak in a public setting without even basic protection from outside ears. He tapped the end of his wand against the counter, frowning faintly as he produced a series of brightly colored sparks.
"I don't understand Sirius," he said shortly, and looked at Remus, "I can't possibly comprehend his recent behavior as I've heard of it toward certain.. individuals. I'm hoping, therefore, Mr. Lupin that may enlighten me briefly.. how he has come to be the way he is. And more importantly, I'm hoping we can .. come to some understanding on how to approach Sirius with these matters."
