Alphard blinked and looked at the man before him, not showing the brief moment of confusion that passed through him. Of course not, he was a Black and he maintained his composure with the unwavering dedication of a mountain. But even so, he cocked his head to the left a fraction and regarded Mr. Lupin with a keen scrutiny, his blue eyes passing over the youthful visage of the boy easily before meeting the boy's eyes.
"Ah, wonderful. My name is Alphard Black.. if you recall, we communicated briefly through the journals," he said by way of introduction. It was convenient, really. If this man was who he said he was--and Alphard had no reason to believe otherwise--then it was quite fortunate. Less individuals now to wonder why Black had come looking for Mr. Lupin.
"I would like to speak to you in private," he said assertively, giving little room for negotiation, "I understand this is a place of business but as we're both short on time I don't believe it should be too much of an issue."
