James was caught off guard once again. He just stared for a moment at Scorpius before wanting nothing more than to hide his face in a pillow or his knees or somewhere not even remotely in view of the other man.
His tendency to ramble and blush when embarrassed or feeling out of sorts about things was really not at all helpful. "Shut up," he said quietly, pulling his knees closer just so he could hide his face on them.
"I already said I just knew. Do you have to be so sodding difficult about everything?" He frowned a little. "Always with your 'Look at me! I'm a Ravenclaw and I know everything and I'll just bludgeon you with logic and lots of smart descriptions until you realise I am so much smarter than everyone'. You and your stupid pointy nose."
What Scorpius' nose had to do with anything, James couldn't exactly explain to himself much less anyone else. It just seemed like the correct thing to say at the time.
