James smiled widely as he looked at the other man again. He waited until he was done speaking before adding anything else, though. "You don't have to tell me what else if you don't want to, but it's not like I'll go tattling to anyone about it."
He found himself curious all the same. It took a lot more effort than he'd anticipated not to ask every single question that came to mind. There were a lot of them lingering in the corners of his mind, but it probably wouldn't have been nice to outwardly treat this like a puzzle even if it felt like one.
Scorpius was different from other people. James didn't fully understand why - other than the fact that everyone was different. That wasn't enough of an explanation, though. "Was someone with you?" He wondered idly if the bothersome part was dying alone. Of course, he was trying not to just assume things about the situation.
