The establishment - a pub - seemed to be deserted for the moment. It was early of course, but with the rabble who seemed to have infested this place, one never knew what time of day they began to frequent the village watering hole.
It certainly didn't escape him that it was the first and apparently only building his only son had considered entering.
At least it appeared mostly clean. He still looked around with marked disdain.
