I'm glad it's your birthday

Birthdays were, traditionally, a Big Deal in the Longbottom home. Hannah had made sure of that much while dating Neville, wanting each time July came around to be a reminder of joy and not 'what if I'd been born in another month' or even 'on Harry's birthday instead'. Hannah was happiest, however, when it was her birthday. Because it was also her wedding anniversary, and she happened to know that Mr. Neville Longbottom felt every need to make up for what the not-him had said to her. It wasn't the only reason, but it was a big part of it.

The pretty blond woman had changed at the bakery after work, using her wand to shove flour off of her skin and clothes, changing into a pretty outfit of a baby blue dress, black ballet flats, and her winter coat to wear over it until she got to Nev's door. In her arms sat a large wicker basket full of the dinner she'd made and Neville's gift, the bright smile on her lips not diminished as she marched over to her husband's home and knocked on the door.
