She was being an idiot. She was being a complete and utter idiot. Just because some tosser said that they were Sirius didn't mean that they were actually Sirius. She knew that she was letting it get to her and she knew that Moody would already be giving her a lecture about letting things get under her skin, but she couldn't help it. Practically everyone in the world knew not to mention Sirius to her, so she didn't understand why someone had the nerve to go and throw a prank like this. Because she was still convinced (mostly) that this was some kind of prank. It was some kind of training exercise, something to make sure that she wasn't going to lose her nerve as an Auror.
Except, the longer she was here, the more she became uncertain that it actually was any kind of prank or training exercise. It was just really elaborate and she didn't like the idea that someone could move her without her even being aware of it. That wasn't really great news for any Auror, was it? Plus, she had never heard of any training exercise like this.
What she did know was that she didn't want to sit in the house and pout and she couldn't believe anything that anybody in the journals was saying (people could impersonate handwriting. She wasn't going to believe some letters.) So, instead, she had tramped out into the cold, although she was woefully underdressed for it and headed to the address that supposedly Sirius had provided her with. She knew it was late and she knew that if anyone was there, they were going to be asleep (unless this was a trap; in which case, she had her wand in one hand.)
When she found the address, she started pounding on the door with her balled fist. She was going to get to the bottom of this.
