Cassandra was quiet for a moment after Elphias asked her the question. She didn't exactly know how to answer; she was thrown somewhat off balance and was now distracted from the game.
"I didn't have many friends in school," she admitted without much warning. She didn't know why she had such a thing. Surely, Elphias didn't really want to hear about that. People didn't really want to hear about the sad parts. It made things complicated and awkward. And it was also something of a lead-in to what she was. There had been a very definite reason for why she had had few friends and it was because she was much stranger than anyone else she had known at Hogwarts. It was the bad sort of strange.
