It seemed as if family was destined to come in little chunks. He knew that in some ways that was good. But he also liked having his family here. It had been weird for it just be him and Percy. There really hadn't been any time in either of their lives where it had been just him and Percy. He figured it had been good for them or something. Maybe they were closer now. He was glad to hear that George was here now though too, even if, from the looks of his journal entry, he looked ridiculously old as well. Bill was accustomed to being the first born and was tired of all his siblings showing up older than him.

As soon as George asked him to come over, he shut his journal and headed over to the house. He figured there was no point in delaying, he was looking forward to seeing his brother, and he didn't mind explaining what was going on in the slightest. Lockewood was undoubtedly overwhelming upon first arrival; he could still remember how he was convinced that everything was the side effect of some pain potion he was on.

He found the cottage that George said was his and rapped on the door with his knuckles. "Open up, Georgie," Bill called with a grin.

At thirty-one with a very pregnant wife at home who was usually barking orders for pickles or pecans or goat milk, the change of pace was appreciated. While George wasn't happy that his joke shop was somehow missing, he imagined that they'd all get home one way or another. And if he was from two thousand and eight and Angelina was from two thousand and thirteen, then that meant he made it back in enough time to still be around for Roxie's birth. Apparently.

When he found out about Bill being in this random town, he obviously wanted to talk to his brother. What he didn't expect, however, was a super young version of him. George peered out of a little window on the door, looking out onto Bill's face as he blinked in surprise. Oh, well. Now this meant he could easily pick on him, too. It might be nice to have someone to hang out with.

"Bill!" he called out excitedly as he swung open the door, pretending he hadn't just stared at him for a moment through the door. "What a lovely surprise! Hey, do you want to get a puppy with me?" He paused, stepping aside to let him into the house. "I think I want to get one as an incentive for Ange to come and hang out here more often. I have a feeling Mum'll be a natural deterrent."

"George," Bill answered, mimicking his brother's voice, although he was obviously just as pleased. And while he might have noticed the way that George briefly stared at him, he couldn't help but try to avoid staring in return. He hadn't ever seen George without his ear and the imbalance in his brother's features was acutely obvious - just as obvious as his scars, he suspected.

He pulled George forward, into a tight hold as he walked into the house and patted him twice on the back.

"A puppet?" Bill echoed. "Absolutely. I have a feeling that my mum might just nurture you to death." Bill said, smiling. Their mother seemed to have an overabundance of energy; he didn't know if part it came from the fact that she was so young. Bill suspected that she would probably bawl when she saw what had happened to George's ear.
