Who: Teddy Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks What: Meeting for the first time. Where: The Pub When: Tuesday evening
Blue. Brown. Blue. Brown. Brown was definitely the right color. It was a silly thing to be worried about and he felt as if he were going for a job interview or something. Should he look professional? Or casual? Should he make his abilities known? Was blue really too much? He sighed. He didn’t know what to expect and it made his nerves sky rocket and as a result, he focused on the color of his hair. Brown, it would look more professional, he’d look more natural, more like his father but blue, that was so much like her. At least, that’s what his grandmother had always told him.
He stood outside the pub for a few moments, using the windows reflection to study his hair. He grew it out. Then shortened it. Then it flickered between blue and brown before he said fuck it, and left it blue. She didn’t seem like she knew anything about her future, and he didn’t really want to be the one to tell her, but he knew he wouldn’t leave here without at least mentioning that he was her son.
HIs hand stuffed into his pockets, he pushed his way into the pub and searched for the somewhat familiar form of his mother. Granted, he’d only ever seen her in two dimensional form through old photos, but how hard could it be. Chewing his lip, he approached the woman who was clearly Tonks.
“Um... hello, mu---miss Tonks. I’m Teddy, we uh... spoke early.” He offered her a lopsided grin.
