The weather seemed to be finally taking the hard crisp edge of fall. He didn't mind it. This sort of weather never seemed to reach Egypt. It was oddly comforting. It hardly prevented him from being outside. He had taken to walking around Lockewood in the early evening, just when dusk was falling. He just had too much pent up energy to simply sit inside all day. It was part of the reason he had suspected he would have problems with a desk job - but even when he had taken the desk job back in England, he'd had the Order work and wedding plans to offset everything.
Here, he only had a job that kept him cooped up all day and didn't utilize any thought at all. He had to admit that it was hard. The last few weeks had been hard. Being alone got under his skin. Being inside got under his skin. He felt as if he didn't have much purpose at the moment and that was something he wasn't used to. Every facet of his life had been gradually stripped away. First, he had arrived here, pulled from the war, and then his entire family had abruptly disappeared, all at once.
Still, he was trying not to dwell on it too long. He hated being miserable. He had been trying to cheer himself up - being with Tonks for a bit had helped, and he had to admit, that while trying to make amends with Percy hadn't been easy, it was also helping.
At the moment, he was feeling relatively relaxed. He stretched out near the lake, letting one arm fall over his face. He felt almost sleepy, although he knew he wasn't going to go to sleep anytime soon.
