Re: Trio VS. Gellert
Ariana burst out ahead of him at the knock on the door, and Gellert glimpsed the target of her assault -- predictably, Severus Snape -- seconds before he realised who it was that she'd just barreled past.
Albus had told Gellert that he intended to invite Potter to attend, and there he was, standing on the front porch, walking stick and all. It had been long enough since their altercation that Gellert could no longer know for certain whether the stick was present out of necessity or as a weapon when wands still failed them. Gellert recognised neither of Potter's associates. Back-up, he assumed, in case Gellert should lose his mind and assault Potter without warning. Tempting, but not going to happen. Gellert could hardly blame Potter for thinking it, though.
"Mr. Potter," Gellert said, plastering a sickly-sweet smile onto his face. "And...friends. So happy you could make it. Please, come in."
