It felt like a return to the norm, in a way. The three of them, together again, about to face another very Dark and very dangerous foe. The thump of her heart behind her ribs pounded familiar, adrenaline having become something customary after the last six years.
Hermione gave Ron's hand a brief squeeze as they waited for the door to be answered before releasing her grip, wishing for the millionth time that they had access to their magic. It felt foolish, going into this without a working wand -- and reminding herself that Grindelwald did not have magic either was only a small consolation.
"I'm still not so sure this is a good idea," she muttered, though it was far too late to be backing out now.
