Severus had to look down at the table a moment, trying to swallow the sudden lump that had mysteriously appeared in his throat. It wasn't so much what Daphne herself had said, however, as it was recalling something Ariana had once asked him, as well. "You know," he said, raising his wine glass and swirling the contents slowly. "Someone asked me not so long ago if I'd had children, and I said I hadn't. I might have to amend that statement, however, because in a way, I've had dozens."
He chuckled softly at the idea of something good coming from Ms. Skeeter's madness. "Well, I like to think that I am happy in spite of it, rather than because of it."
