"Give it time," he said, swirling his wine glass idly before taking a sip. "Before long, you'll have the entire village eating out of your palm, I'm sure." When she said he seemed well and more relaxed, he shrugged ever so slightly. "Very good reason. I haven't been this carefree in nearly twenty years, and I rather like it."
Hmm ... was Teddy good to live with? Well, he was a vastly better roommate than Wormtail, though that wasn't saying much. He was quiet whenever Severus needed solitude and ready to lend an ear whenever he didn't. All in all, Teddy seemed to anticipate his moods rather than merely accommodate them, and he was always kind and respectful. A better roommate and friend than he likely deserved.
"I couldn't ask for a better roommate, to be honest," he finally answered, shrugging again when he realized that he'd been staring into his wineglass for an inordinately long time.
