Wes nodded, accepting both the kiss and Kurt’s apology very easily. He wasn’t feeling particularly vindictive that day. He’d let a lot slide – besides, he’d not seen Kurt in far, far too long. The last thing he wanted to do was fight, especially over something so stupid.
“Blaine,” Wes felt the need to warn, however, walking over to the oven. He briefly set his pan down and then, turning casually, took the oven mitt directly from Blaine’s hand with a small, secretive smile. “Be nice. We want him to invite us back, remember? Best behavior.”
Waving the mitt gently in the air for emphasis, Wes then slipped it on and put his own pizza in the oven, closing the door. He didn’t want to risk Blaine doing it. Bad things seemed to result when ‘Blaine’ and ‘cooking’ were connected.
“Thank you, Kurt,” Wes said, turning his attention to the younger boy. He’d noticed the lack of room in the oven and he knew that Kurt was letting them go first. Manners never hurt anyone – plus, his manners tended to annoy Blaine. Win-win situation.
