“I was,” Wes offered cryptically, glancing back and forth between his two friends in a slightly wary manner, almost as if expecting them to lunge at one another to suck more face as they would have as teenagers. It was reminiscent of that party at Wes’ house way back when, only this time there was no antique sofa to fornicate on. “And it’s Wes, Kurt, you know that.”
He nodded his head to the both of them, ignoring how dazed Blaine looked and how the both of them clearly had the urge to lunge back at each other. At least they were holding back. “But yes, hello. I’m sorry to have just walked in, but – well – the door was open.”
Among other things, like the relationship between these two. No matter, Wes had come to spend time with his friends, but to also get a better handle on the situation. Whenever Blaine was concerned, there was always something more to see, and Wes was pretty sure that he was seeing it then. For while Blaine still looked dazed and unfocused, Kurt had snapped back instantly. Interesting.
And then, when he walked over and took instant note of the daisy on the counter, Wes frowned. It was subtle and he made a point to look at Blaine curiously but he deigned to save his comments for later. He knew that by just looking at Blaine, then to the flower and back, he’d make his point easier than if he’d said anything at all.
