Still, if he had remotely suspected of any wrongdoings, her bookish demeanour put him somewhat at ease. It wasn't that he immediately trusted her--not in the least bit. It was that her actions just exuded honesty without even trying that relaxed him. His wide grin gained permanence, moving closer to the lovely professor of (what did she say) psychology while keeping a safe distance so as not to appear too eager.
"I'd ask what you're going out here so early in the morning, but I suppose it's something rather over my head isn't it?" he chuckled good naturedly. "Hate to ask, but could I see some ID? I just have to make sure."
