Hey! My name is Kari and I am brand new here and bringing you a brand new character! Meet your local Deputy Chief of Security. Her name is Lieutenant Commander Ingrid Davison, but people mostly just call her "Grit". Maybe it's not the most glamorous nickname, but hey, she isn't the most glamorous woman. Grit is very, very career driven and is known for her unbelievably solid work ethic, but she knows how to sit back and relax when she isn't on duty. She's also known for being very honest and straightforward - the woman doesn't mince words to spare feelings, but she doesn't purposefully set out to be hurtful, either, even if that might end up being the end result. In any case, she most certainly stands her ground and does her best to keep her emotions in check, always doing her best to judge with logic instead of feelings.
Plot-wise, she could use a little bit of everything! Grit is something of a tomboy and only knows two ways of styling her hair (up or down), so friends of the female variety whom she could trust to maybe give her a helping hand with her hair on days when it matters for whatever reason would be great! Friends of the male variety, too, are also welcome! There are likely plenty of people who are unnerved by Grit's tendency to slip into uncomfortably long silences during situations where most others would being throwing out small talk (Grit isn't into small talk, folks), so maybe your character wouldn't think she was the most thrilling person to be around. Let me know! Also, Grit is massively into working out and training and could always use sparring partners. I'd like to work out with her fellow Security buddies what their working relationships are like, too. She went to the Academy from 2240 to 2244 and I would love it if your character was her roommate or even just a friend from back in the day! Oh, and she has a younger brother who is also in Starfleet, though I don't know if it's actually possible for anyone to pick him up, that would be pretty nifty.
