Luka hadn't been expecting such an early wake up call. It had still been dark outside when he had been roused by one of the elves and led, still half-asleep, to the east side corridor. Only once his sleepy gaze fell upon the curled up figure in the hallway did he understand what was happening, a short chuckle echoing around the space as he returned to his room with his unexpected guest in tow. Not for the first time, Luka carefully tucked Felix up in bed and made sure that he was okay before letting him sleep.
Aware that going back to sleep himself would be a fruitless task, Luka instead left his bedroom and his sleeping boyfriend in favour of the library. It was there that he spent the next few hours, dozing in the plush armchair in between battling through passages in the book he had chosen. As daylight poured in through the window several hours later, he decided that he would return to his room to check on Felix, moving silently through the familiar halls until he returned to where he had started in the early hours.
Felix was awake when Luka entered his room, the door closing quietly behind him. Approaching the foot of the bed, Luka watched as Felix looked around curiously and fought to keep the smile from his face. "Somebody got lost last night," he said, folding his arms across his chest and smirking at his boyfriend. "I hope my bed is more comfortable than the floor in the hallway."
