Rules

1. Follow the golden rule. Everyone is welcome here as long as they are polite and follow the rules.
2. Each member may have one post that is his or her own quilt - that quilt may contain quilt blocks by the poster and by anyone else who has submitted a quilt block.
3. Each member may submit quilt blocks for each journal he or she owns, as well as any community he or she runs. Members are encouraged to make a note if they are posting a new quilt block for previously-used journal or community.
4. Members may post quilt blocks for sites outside of IJ, and for journals other than insanejournal journals.
5. Members are not required to make a quilt block for themselves, but they are encouraged to do so.
6. A single quilt block request post may be made per member per week, in the event of the member being unable to make his or her own quilt blocks. The request should contain all information for each quilt block being requested, and may have up to 10 quilt block requests in the post.
7. A quilt block MUST measure 30 pixels by 30 pixels.

Welcome to Link Quilts!

A while back, a friend of mine made a joke about having a "quilt" of images on her profile page. And that wasn't the first time I'd seen the concept in play. So when I moved over to InsaneJournal and started setting up myself, I thought that a great way to make life easy on me would be to make a quilt block link. But I noticed that there didn't seem to be any community for anything like that, so I thought "well, now's the time to create one!"

This community will serve as a journal and asylum promotion community in addition to a crafting community, and there are no limitations on what type of journal or asylum you can make blocks for. Please note that the promotion aspect is due to the nature of the coding for quilt blocks, which should always include a link back to the place the block is for. Spam (repeated promotions using the same quilt block each time) will be dealt with firmly.

Please, join in and have fun! This asylum is for everyone.
