[06 Jan 2019|11:09pm] chibichibi i know it's pretty late and not the best time to do this but i figured i'd get it done anyway! this is cho solji and she is nightlife's youngest sibling at (recently turned) 20 years old. she moved to seoul in 2017 from jeju to attend seoul national university where she is currently studying child development and family studies! she's definitely known for being sweet if not a little bit of a door mat and wears her heart on her sleeve big time but she's loving and loyal and always wants to help people when she can but gets very emotionally invested in things. she loves a good romance or animated movie, lives for good kdramas and dancing to fun music and just generally being hopefully pleasant to be around and sweet. i am really terrible at these sorts of things, especially while i'm still in the process of setting up entirely but since i've got the basics i figured i'd throw her out there anyway! i'd love a roommate and i'm still considering what i want her part time job to be but if anyone needs anything, i'd definitely appreciate some suggestions! also, any connections through her sister would be awesome, maybe people who helped her get used to being in seoul because she was probably very homesick. i'm so sorry if i've missed anything really important but come at me anyway and let me love you 33 comments|post comment

This is Eugenia Prasongsanti, 22 years old, hyperactive ball of dancing energy who will make you eat some really weird food if you let her. She's California-born, born and raised in Los Angeles until college came around and wanderlust hit and she found herself traversing an ocean to attend K-Arts to study Fine Art. She's been around since her Freshman year, so she's been here for a few years, but you know, she still isn't that good at Korean, so help a girl out! She enjoys all things make-up, especially since all the packaging is so cute, and works at tonymoly when she isn't in class or dancing the night away at this club or another, solely for the sake of dancing since she loves doing it so much. None of that professional stuff though. She'll leave that to the future idols and entertainers of the world. So! She can use everything! She has a few friends already, but could always use more! [29 Dec 2018|01:30pm] sonore hey guys! while i'm working to finish wonjae up here, i thought i'd see if i could get some lines. this sparkly mess was born and raised in japan but has recently arrived to south korea to get a fresh start. he's a triplet, a former trainee who almost debuted and still lives and breathes music. he is nearly always singing and dancing all over the place. he also has a youtube channel, two of them to be exact. having a lot of energy really helps him there! his family is all up in the entertainment industry but he's hoping being in a new country will give him a break there. he has spent a little time in america as well in the past. he took some dancing workshops during the summer when he was in school and again during his trainee years. as for what i need! i'd love a roommate for him, someone who has been teaching him korean, guides to sk because he is getting lost often, fellow dancers and singers, artsy people in general, a job since he'll be needing one of those things, pasts if it can be worked out, those who want their makeup done, fashionistas, astrology buffs and conspiracy theorists, family, friends, a ride or die! a pen pal he had before arriving in south korea. if anyone wants to take up his brother and sister that would be perfect. they're very close and i have ideas. 17 comments|post comment

[26 Dec 2018|06:51pm] seel this is probably the worst time to do this but before work sinks its evil claws back into me, i thought i'd fish for some goodies since her one-year anniversary (!!!) has officially passed and i feel like i've finally settled into a face that fits her all around. for anyone that doesn't know this little busybody, this is suhee - resident confectionary goddess and dog mom extraordinaire. she's an american transplant by way of new york city and moved to seoul with her mother in 2013 to help care for her grandfather. she originally attended k-arts and graduated with her bfa in vocal music but spent some time wandering aimlessly through life and working as a concierge at the chosun westin before she realized her dream and opened her shop, moonflower, back in november. she's a hopeless romantic and can be a loyal to a fault, causing her to stick her foot in her mouth at times. she shares an apartment with her best friend in the entire world, natalchart, and couldn't live without undercut, scissors, bechdel, and bonobono. she's also the type to randomly invite people over for board game night or a movie and snacks because she's a hostess at heart - one reason why her friends lovingly call her the korean martha stewart. now that i've rambled my way through life, please accept my love, THANK YOU post comment

[16 Dec 2018|03:09pm] ufocatcher doing this backwards and for the third time, but now that he's been apped and added~ i have parker here, a boston transplant who also spent some time in nyc from ages 16-21. he's 23 now and has been living in seoul for around 2 years, though he's only been in the apartment since just about a year ago. he works a lot of part time jobs under the guise of finding himself, so he's got a pretty hectic schedule. personality wise, he's friendly to everyone and makes everyone feel like they've been friends with him forever. when it comes to real stuff, he definitely holds his cards tighter. i would love any connections from boston or nyc, fellow ballet people, friends he's met since coming to seoul, a couple casual hookups or flings he tends to be hot and cold with, maybe someone who owns a bakery for a boss or coworkers at any of his part-time jobs? 16 comments|post comment

[09 Dec 2018|08:40pm] breathin since i've changed his face (and aged him down a year) to someone i think is a bit more suited, i thought now would be a great time to post again and try to throw him back into activity! so this is yubin, binny, yubunny, bunny, whatever you want to call him! he was previously working at a local radio station after going to college in america but decided that he really didn't care for it at all and has since recently quit his job. and now he's sort of floating around, trying to figure out his real passion in life. music is definitely his biggest thing, he loves listening to literally almost anything but he doesn't really know how to turn it into a living. his other thing as of lately has been drag but actually going out and doing it is something that he hasn't had the guts yet to really try. he's done it a few times (such as jackson's birthday party, for example) but he's not so sure about going further than that. as far as his home life goes, he was extremely loved and his parents are extremely supportive, not at all in the mindset of most traditional korean parents. his mom is like one of his best friends and he's got one older sister and one younger sister. he was born and raised in seoul so he's been around a long time, aside from his four years in college. he's a cute little bundle of sunshine and tons of energy, he's a sagittarius so he's known for being pretty loud. but he's extremely sweet and a big time people pleaser. as far as lines, he's currently dating korosensei, his best friend is natalchart and he's also good friends with stitches and if i'm missing anything, i apologize! but i'd love more things for him, anything at all! he's a sweet little muffin, i swear 12 comments|post comment

[25 Nov 2018|12:09pm] bosun hi, happy holidays! looking to round up some lines for this guy while i get ready to app. his name is theodore but he most often goes by theo or teddy, although he won't have any violent reaction to his full name. he's 23 and from boston originally. the circumstances around his birth are somewhat mysterious/suspicious like an episode of something on the id channel and he has yet to uncover the complete truth about how he came to be adopted by a political powerhouse of a family. basically he grew up expected to be heavily involved in that world but instead discovered a love for the sea early on and decided to pursue a maritime career. he went to mit, got a degree in mechanical & ocean engineering, and nowadays works as a deckhand on the han river while attending graduate school for naval architecture in order to learn how to build the boats he loves to be on. which leads me to his personality - he's that kid who was usually making something out of paperclips during class. very much someone who always needs to be working whether it's manual labor or exercising his brain. he's a perfectionist, expects a lot of himself, and can have a hard time relating emotionally to people despite caring for them more than he's able to express. here are some connections i'd like to see filled: anyone from the east coast or near boston specifically who he might have known growing up, a roommate (he's only been in the area since march), a guy or girl for an awkward moment, fellow beach bums to reminisce with over the gone too fast warm months, someone who tutored him intensely in korean for six months online to bring him from intermediate to advanced before he arrived (some details on that if interested), business clients and/or people who might have taken touristy type fishing trips on the river, and whatever else we might be able to work out! 24 comments|post comment

[16 Nov 2018|11:18am] fingerhearts i had actually forgotten to post in here, my bad. anyways, this here is chi mingyu, he is 26 and a child therapist, i'd like to say he's lived in the building for awhile now, it would be kinda easy to establish a connection there. he really loves children, he felt this was his calling in life to help the children that need the extra care and love in the world. he's as kind as they come, it takes a lot to anger him unless you directly do something to the people he cares about. [15 Nov 2018|03:31pm] baegopah hey all! i bring you this ball of mess: ash. he's the big 3-0 and just moved into the building about a month ago after selling his nice house in the subs. he's got a bit of a troubled past and did an 8 month stint in jail for reasons he won't disclose. he's also terrible in the relationship department after first having a failed engagement and then actually getting married only to now end up divorced (finalized in may of this year). another statistic! he is very close friends with ~nightlife from their university years and actually opened the club level with her! so those of you who work for them, or frequent the establishment will either know him pretty well or at least know of him. he was known for partying with the patrons and ensuring they had a good time, but now he spends most of his time in the office watching from afar or behind the bar watching from up close. after his divorce he has kind of shut himself away and keeps mostly to himself. poor guy. anyway! he could use some friends, perhaps a cousin if anyone needs one, someone to kick him out of this depression, etc. you know, the usual suspects. i'm currently drugged up on the good cold meds so i apologize for this being weird and choppy. thank you for your time and patience. 18 comments|post comment

[14 Nov 2018|04:59pm] gajima hello! i thought i'd reach out here for lines while i'm still in the process of working on this guy. here's what i have so far but i'm willing to alter if he could fit lines for people! this is kwon yejun, but he'll also answer to ye. he's twenty-four and a native to korea. the youngest of four, he has three older sisters he's very close with, a senior construction manager for a father, and a mother who sadly passed from cancer nearly eight years ago. yejun attended college in america for botany and plant biology though what school i'm not for sure, but likely somewhere in california! his choice for schooling came about after years of spending time with his mother gardening. now a days yejun works at yangjae flower market. things have not been easy for him the last few years due to his own health issues that he does not share. his sisters have all tried to force him to get help but yejun likes to fake his way through things with a smile and a nod before doing the exact opposite. yejun likes to go out and have a good time but also doesn't mind a night in. for as much as he likes plants he doesn't actively talk about them outside of work but if you stepped into his apartment you might assume it's actually a forest. personality and likes are to come as i figure him out better! if he could get a roommate, an ex or two, a best friend growing up, maybe a friend from his time in california, frequent flyers at the flower market, someone to ride motorcycles with and call themselves a gang, someone he met while taking a smoke break, people he met through one of his sisters (age range 25-31), anything else you want to throw at him 30 comments|post comment

[12 Nov 2018|09:06pm] jokbal Because I am sure you all missed him greatly, I am going to work on bringing this guy back (potentially with some changes, but it doesn't seem that way now that I am breaking into it), but I anticipate he will be widely the same in personal interactions. This is Caleb, last name pending unless I leave it Kang, you're twenty-six year old, Andrew McMahon-stalking California boy. He moved to South Korea following the death of one of his grandparents, and stayed to study Psychology at Korea University before becoming a high school counselor at an international high school in the Seoul area. Why did he stop at the high school level? Well, adults are crazy (says an adult) and his passion lies also in music, which he does on an amateur level with no anticipation of going further, playing coffee shops, clubs, and whatnot with only intention of playing music for music's sake. He plays piano and guitar primarily, as well as vocals, like a sort of one man acoustic band (though he always welcomes help). Formerly speaking, he had a few lines with a few in the community which I would love to keep some variation of (if not the initial) since I am hoping to bring him in as a relatively clear slate (there may be some name changes coming up to dissociate from former family lines, but that's it). Same Caleb, different day, so if he can fill something for you, let me know! Otherwise, he can use friends, foes, music buddies, anyone who wants to play shows with him from time to time, a part-timer (lest rhymeregiment wants another co-worker still at the cafe), military buddies (he served in 2014-2016 in mental health given his vision issues), exes, anything else we can figure out! Oh! As for where he has been since whenever it was he left (May 2018), I'm going to say he did some world traveling. Jumped to Europe for a while, backpacked around and busked for funds before going to the States, spending some time in New York before hopping right back over to the west cost where he settled in Nevada for a little. [12 Nov 2018|07:31pm] noodles hi guys! eric here was around about a year ago but i miss him and you guys so i decided i'm gonna bring him back! also bringing him back thanks to some gentle nudging from rhymeregiment so any connections through him right off the bat. for those of you who don't know him, this is eric liu, 24 year old vagabond originally from san francisco. he's sort of a jack of all trades in that he hoards jobs to make sure he ends up above water so he's a survivor more than anything. he went to school back in california for music and he dabbled in modelling for a while to make ends meet. he ended up in seoul the first time after being catfished and led to move out of the country and he got stuck for a while. he left and went back home at the beginning of the year but has recently found himself homesick for south korea so he decided to move back and here we are! i'd love a roommate for him and maybe some coworkers if people need others to work with. if we had any lines the last time i was here and want to keep them or want something totally new i'd love to work something fun out! 58 comments|post comment

[05 Nov 2018|05:05pm] pabo hello there! this is jem. he was here many moons ago and can hopefully make a grand return. he's now 26, but in his younger years he delved into the idol world for all of two seconds before he was kicked out for both publicly being drunk and for leaked nudes. he was a damn mess. and continued to be one until about a year ago when he got himself into rehab in la where he has some family. he's going on almost a year sober and has been doing a lot of traveling and self reflecting in an attempt to both better himself and make things up to those he has wronged. he's trying to settle back into seoul, the city he was born, to try again at the whole life thing. he could use a slew of lines! people who like to do spur of the moment activities and adventures as he is always trying to keep busy, smoking buddies, those he has wronged in the past by being horribly drunk in their presence, people he has stolen from in order to drink more, those he used to hook up with, or any other messy entanglement we can sort out (messier the better, really. his un is pabo for a reason!) people who don't really know him and his past shit, some job ideas. anything! 18 comments|post comment

[29 Oct 2018|10:31pm] agape hey guys! i'm definitely the worst, but here i am again with a re-intro. i've been slacking with hyojin and i'm really dedicated to bringing him back around to be the social creature that he once was. hyojin is a '96 liner originally from busan. he moved to seoul to study, but dropped out after his first year to become a flight attendant. he was a flight attendant for three-ish years and only stopped working for KAL earlier this year. that being said, he's had a tough year and has spent a lot of time soul searching and keeping to himself. for the most part he's very friendly, loves to socialize and really really loves to learn about other people's passions. right now he's on the hunt for new hobbies and new things to do, so he could really use new friends who love doing things that aren't just going out to eat or drink. right now he really needs friends, friends and more friends, but he has room for a turbulent ex he's trying to make amends with and a younger sister who just moved to seoul. but really, friends though. old friends, new friends, childhood friends, adventure friends. let's work out something fun! 26 comments|post comment

[28 Oct 2018|08:53am] joji HEY GUYS pretend there's glitter or flashing font here to get your attention. i'm still working on writing up his information and getting everything actually set up and everything but i've got him mostly figured out now! this is choi haeil and he was born in a country-side town in south korea that he hated a lot. from a young age, art was his absolute passion and he loved to draw and paint and dreamed of being an artist, despite his parents insisting that he get a respectable job, marry a good woman and have babies. cut to 2012 when haeil finished with school and got just good enough grades to get into university in seoul. he moved away from home the second he could and started school where he did pretty poorly, truth be told. around a year after he started, haeil finally threw in the towel and dropped out or "took some time off" depending on who's telling the story. instead, he started working random odd jobs, coffee shops, clubs, clothing stores. they never lasted for very long because of one reason or another, until he finally just got a job at a convenience store near his apartment building in itaewon, where he has been working for about eight months now. in almost all of his spare time he paints, something that he's very good at. he's still desperately trying to get noticed as an artist, particularly using sns as a means of doing that because so much happens on the internet these days. personality wise, he's not great with dealing with other people's emotions because he never really knows what to do with them but he's well intentioned, at least. he's extremely eccentric but if you can see past that, he's a very loyal friend. he's imaginative and creative, extremely sloppy and sometimes unmotivated. god help whoever he ends up living with, truly. he's open-minded and really loves spending time with his friends but he's also pretty independent. i'd really love anything for him at all! he's lived in the area long enough to have some good friends, people he sees at the convenience store all the time, a roommate who can deal with his messy ass, anything and everything 53 comments|post comment

[21 Oct 2018|12:15pm] fluffcake hey everyone! like many others lately, i wanted to re-introduce tae here as he's had a recent career change, so i figured it's better to say something than to not say something and save from having an awkward conversation later.. onward! this is taeyoung (but almost always goes by tae or taetae, though he has a bunch of other cute nicknames!), he's 28 and is now a fashion PR specialist for charm's clothing line. i picked that brand because there is also a brooklyn location and tae attended uni in nyc, so since he's big into travel and loves the city, it's a perfect opportunity for him. so while his degree changed, he still has his master's from the same school, it's just in luxury marketing instead. tae is super friendly, he'll talk to literally anyone. he loves his friends and social gatherings, although he can be insecure and has social anxiety at times, but he tries really hard not to show that side of himself. only the people closest to him really know about his insecurities. randomly, tae's definitely no help in the kitchen, so he mostly mooches off of others or relies on take-out to get himself fed. he loves all the puppies and spoiling people's pets (be it doggos or otherwise!), traveling, shopping, fashion, but can also be quite a bit of a homebody when he wants to be, especially when he's tired. he'll get whiny, sorry. his updated bio is here for those who want to take the time to read it after reading all this (bless you~). so let me know if you want to update what we have, or are open to brainstorming new ideas. thanks, friends! 15 comments|post comment

[19 Oct 2018|05:28pm] stitches i never know how to start these and this time is no different! i wanted to re-introduce christian as i've recently made some changes to him and thought this would be the best way to announce them. right off the bat i'll state not a ton has been switched, most notably though is that christian is no longer a nurse! after months of writing him and getting a good feel for who he is it felt far more fitting to make him a mortician. i have yet to settle on where he went to school for it state side or where he did his first year of apprenticing but he landed in seoul for his second year of apprenticing and has been here ever since. recently finally no longer doing the apprentice thing! that aside, he's still the same guy - big weirdo, baffling sleep schedule, dream journaler, works too much, horror freak, vampire obsessed, video game loving, gym rat, animal obsessed, and generally sensitive caring idiot. thanks for reading this, enjoy your friday while i awkwardly leave this here 13 comments|post comment

[18 Oct 2018|01:58pm] orangeslice hello everyone! before i get started on her bio i wanted to see if i can snag some lines for her. this is christina but she prefers to be called tina. 96 liner studying fine arts and (mostly) paints landscape type artwork that she commissions thanks to the beautiful power of social media and the internet. aside from that, i don't have a job for her so anyone looking for a co-worker come my way! i was thinking she's the jack of all trades type where she knows a little bit of everything and has worked so many odd jobs but nothing really sticks. she suffers from chronic middle child syndrome and originally hails from san francisco but moved to busan to live with her mother and mother's parents when her parents divorced at age 11. her mother passed away when she was 20 and it prompted tina to switch majors from pre-med to art as a way of trying to do what makes her happy and not what's safe. uhh personality wise she's an extroverted introvert with a big heart. she suffers from rbf tacked on with her kourtney kardashian-esque voice, it's easy for most people to find her intimidating but she's absolutely harmless, unless drunk. that's all i have for now but i'd love to work out all kinds of lines! she needs everything; a roommate, an ex or two, friends, someone who thinks she's meaner than she actually is, people who like taking dance or kickboxing classes, etc! she's best friends with clow so connections through her work too! 31 comments|post comment

[08 Oct 2018|09:51pm] malware hey guys! so, for anyone that knows Su! he obviously looks just a little bit different now. he's had a minor face lift with a few changes but really is still the same lovable and aloof guy. with his little changes though, i'd really love to get some more lines and breathe life into him once again! so, with that. junsu here is a 32 year old nyc native that moved to seoul for his masters in architecture. he currently has an international firm under his belt so he does travel pretty often. he's been in seoul for a pretty long time, so friends of all ages from all lengths of time, including while he was in nyc would be adored for him. he doesn't mind being the 'old man' hyung, he just hates hearing it. business aside, he's a pretty easy going guy. a little on the goofy side once he's comfortable around someone, he can be a little aloof otherwise but it's more a defense mechanism so he just really needs someone patient enough to put up with his bullshit till they crack his shell. he loves to cook, and bake even more because his sweet tooth is an incredible thing. spontaneous and impulsive, he loves seeking out adventures and doesn't always think about the consequences. growing up a chaebol, he doesn't always grasp the concept of money and things being expensive - but he doesn't mean to be ignorant he just really doesn't know any better ...but he tries to learn! as far as lines he has a best friend in rhymeregiment, also a childhood ride or die in fluffcake. there's also a very small circle of friends that he prefers to keep close, and close to his heart like selca, and hwajeon. if there is anyone i missed, feel free to beat me with a broom, i apologize. i would love to get him a roommate, maybe a few more friends new or old, probably impossible but perhaps the fiance he's been 'engaged' to for years now, someone to smack him when he's being a prick and keep him in line, dog owners for puppy playdates, and really anything insane that can be thought up would be love! 76 comments|post comment
