HEY GUYS pretend there's glitter or flashing font here to get your attention. i'm still working on writing up his information and getting everything actually set up and everything but i've got him mostly figured out now! this is choi haeil and he was born in a country-side town in south korea that he hated a lot. from a young age, art was his absolute passion and he loved to draw and paint and dreamed of being an artist, despite his parents insisting that he get a respectable job, marry a good woman and have babies.
cut to 2012 when haeil finished with school and got just good enough grades to get into university in seoul. he moved away from home the second he could and started school where he did pretty poorly, truth be told. around a year after he started, haeil finally threw in the towel and dropped out or "took some time off" depending on who's telling the story. instead, he started working random odd jobs, coffee shops, clubs, clothing stores. they never lasted for very long because of one reason or another, until he finally just got a job at a convenience store near his apartment building in itaewon, where he has been working for about eight months now. in almost all of his spare time he paints, something that he's very good at. he's still desperately trying to get noticed as an artist, particularly using sns as a means of doing that because so much happens on the internet these days.
personality wise, he's not great with dealing with other people's emotions because he never really knows what to do with them but he's well intentioned, at least. he's extremely eccentric but if you can see past that, he's a very loyal friend. he's imaginative and creative, extremely sloppy and sometimes unmotivated. god help whoever he ends up living with, truly. he's open-minded and really loves spending time with his friends but he's also pretty independent. i'd really love anything for him at all! he's lived in the area long enough to have some good friends, people he sees at the convenience store all the time, a roommate who can deal with his messy ass, anything and everything
