i almost forgot to do this but i figure i should toss her out there for some more lines if anyone is interested! this is jessica yoo, 23 years old. she was born in paju, korea but at age nine lost her parents and went to live with her aunt and uncle in martha's vineyard. while it took a bit of adjusting, she pretty quickly learned to use humor as a coping mechanism and hasn't really stopped since. she stayed in the states through high school but decided to attend university in korea to better reconnect with her heritage and parents' memory and hasn't left.
she works in translation and is a total nerd for languages/linguistics. on the side she does stuff with korea improv as an outlet for the entertainer in her and loves making people (mostly their audience of foreigners on vacation) laugh with a goofy sort of humor. twice a week she streams on twitch, and has gained a small following for her antics maining d.va in overwatch, but she's definitely not big or anything. in her spare time she's often found frequenting cat cafes or book shops. if given the chance, she'll always be friendly and ready to strike up conversation, though she has a hard shell wrapped around any actual opening up emotionally.
she goes way back with ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) juice as childhood friends and loves being the good cop to her bad cop, is currently living with uni friend nemuneko, but that's pretty much it far as lines go so i'm open to ideas! exes of either gender, various friends, any connections she may have made doing translation work, someone she met during her semester abroad in europe, anything really.
