"You're a sly one, aren't you? I'll have to keep my eyes on you." She gave a playful sort of laugh, then shook her head. Her arms lifted as she shook out the blanket, a thick square of wool fabric that was no good for anything but setting down for a picnic. "I mean with the blanket. And you can call me Princess all you like, but my name is Claire."
Claire handed him two corners of the blanket and set about laying her own end across the grass, figuring he'd follow suit. She was glad she'd come, somehow knowing that even though she'd just gotten there. It was way better than hanging out at home.
"We may as well be comfortable. Though it is pretty tempting to hop on the swings for a little while. Maybe after I eat." Her expression turned slightly thoughtful, though she was sure he'd find some way to turn that into a pickup line or an innuendo. She had to admit it was pretty funny.
