Whatever this Shadow thing was didn't sound at all like something she wanted Henry to meet. There was nothing they could do now, though. They could only try and find a way out of this place and maybe back to Storybrooke. What was waiting for them there, though? Hadn't Gold given Belle directions to cloak the entire town?
She had completely forgotten about that. Even if they did escape, if everything had gone according to plan, they weren't going to be able to find Storybrooke. Not anytime soon considering how Gold's plans usually worked. Neal didn't need to know that. Not right now. Perhaps later when things had settled and they had figured out a way to reach Henry. That would take time, too. Hook's help would most likely be needed. They would need to figure out where this town was located. Maybe there were magic beans somewhere? Emma could only hope.
"Stop apologizing," she said, her voice quiet but direct. "I meant what I said." Turning her head a bit, meeting his gaze, Emma was trying to find the right words. It was always difficult for her. Even to confess her love for Neal in his last moments had been a painful fight for her emotional subconscious. Emma loved him. She had always loved him and it had hurt so much seeing him with that woman. It had never felt so good than to learn that she didn't really love Neal even if Tamara had ultimately taken Neal away from her.
Almost anyway.
Trapped or not, this was their second chance. If they had ended up here, maybe Henry would, too. For once, Emma had felt that warm rush of hope that had always been missing over the course of her life.
"I don't think we can steal cars anymore. The stepford wives might threaten us with baked goods."
