Sam took the water bottle from Lydia with a grateful smile. He couldn't say for sure, but keeping himself hydrated helped his headaches, and it helped keep Lucifer quiet. Or at least quieter. Nothing ever really kept him quiet, he was always there, taunting and teasing Sam, begging for acknowledgement.
"I don't know about that, but I really appreciate the help. I really don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come along. My head was hurting so bad I couldn't think straight." That was Lucifer's doing and Sam knew it. No, he reminded himself. Lucifer wasn't real.
"So, you know. I want to say thank you. A lot." Sam took a long sip of water. He wiped the back of his hand across his mouth. "Because you really did help me out of a tough situation."
