Caroline and Open.
Caroline had spent most of the day sobering up, and getting ready. She wasn't really sure why she was even going to still go. Maybe to at least convince people she was fine. She definitely didn't feel fine, though. Maybe if she could convince others than she would be able to convince herself. She'd had a really rough couple of days, and she felt like she'd lost so much. Bonnie's revelation had hit her the hardest. If they ever left this place, Bonnie would be dead. If they never left this place, Caroline would never see her mom again...unless she came here.
She was certain people would avoid her at the party, especially after her suicide talk yesterday. It didn't matter though. She'd bought the dress, and once upon a time she'd really been looking forward to going to this thing. She needed something to cheer her up, even if it was only for a few hours. She worked all of the rest of the day in getting ready. She'd really liked the dress she'd picked, and it would have been a shame to let it go to waste.
She'd cried a lot, but she managed to pull herself together for the moment. She'd already made herself a promise, she wouldn't be drinking tonight. She knew Grace was going to be there, and Caroline had upset her enough. Everyone was right about her. She'd probably just stay away from everyone, but at least she'd be there. When she arrived, she kept to herself. She was sure she looked sad, but it didn't matter. She'd made it there, which was a big step up from the previous day. She could pretend she was fine, if people spoke to her. Maybe some of them would even believe her.
Caroline looked around a bit. She approved of the decorations and everything that had been done here. It was not unlike something she might have planned herself. It didn't seem like it'd be a night most people would soon forget. She hoped that it was really special for everyone.
