Tess was having a hard time concentrating on the meal with him smiling at her like that. So the beer was helping to settle her fuzzy, happy nerves. The bottle was already sweating in her hand so she set it down and took a few bites of her pizza, finishing up a piece and tearing the crush in half to split between the pooches. She started in on another piece. "You should hold off on any kind of alcohol until you're totally grown up," Tess told the little girl. "And even then, you don't have to drink it just because you're all grown up. You can keep drinking other stuff instead." There was nothing wrong with a little alcohol here and there, but the idea of Grace ever getting drunk was completely alarming. She didn't want to live to see that day.
Tess picking a piece of sausage from her pizza and popped it into her mouth with a satisfied smile, looking back up at Danny. She couldn't help but smile back at him, her heart still pounding in her chest. "Yeah we can, I'll just have to put my house up for sale and I don't have a whole lot of big stuff to move, just my cookware and my knick knacks and clothes." She took another sip from her beer bottle and sighed. She had never lived with a guy before, only with V. But it wasn't an alarming thought, she really loved Danny. It was already home.
Grace glanced between them and smirked to herself. They were totally destined to be together. She took a sip of her juice and swallowed a bite of food. "Now all the animals can be together all the time and no one will ever be lonely," She said happily. Sometimes she worried that the doggies were sad by themselves all day when Tess and Danny were working. Especially when she and Caroline did things out of the house. She beamed up at them. "Oh my gosh I can't wait to tell my friends!!!" She was so excited to have this happen, it was even better than when her mom had gotten remarried.
