Danny was happy too. Everything was working out great. He already knew that Tess was the one for him. He felt like he'd known from the moment he saw her, but he couldn't explain why he felt that way. It just seemed like it was meant to be. He was meant to come here and meet her. And Grace was meant to be with them. They were all meant to live together and be a family. That was how it felt to Danny, and he did believe in psychics so fate wasn't that much of a stretch. He smiled back at her, so full of love in that moment. "Well, it's good that we're all happy and I think we should deem this our first official meal together as a family."
He was happy to grab them all some more pizza, but figured it would be easier to bring the box instead. That way they didn't have to keep making trips. He set it down on the table, moving some things to make room. He then served everyone, himself last, before sitting back down. "You keep thinking that, Monkey." He told her when she said that beers stink. "I don't want you having one till you're 35, maybe 40." He joked. He glanced around the room a bit, looking at what the dogs were doing and then back at Tess, with a big smile.
"You just enjoy the juice box, Gracie." He told his little girl. She was growing up so fast. Danny popped the top from his beer, taking a swallow. It was refreshing. He set the beer down, and then took a couple of bites of his fresh slice of pizza. "I guess if all goes well, we can start moving you in right away." He told Tess. It seemed like she would know what all they needed to do to get started. She was a smart and beautiful lady, and she'd had his heart since the day they'd met.
