Tess lit up even more when Danny came into the room. She always did. She went from content to beaming in less than a second. Grace loved watching the way their faces lit up when they saw one another. She still didn't really understand why they weren't getting married yet, but she supposed that was a grown up thing. She gave Lilly kisses and put her back on the floor, and the pooch rolled onto her back, demanding a belly rub. Dogs were hard work, but Grace loved them. She stooped to oblige the little buff pup as she listened to Tess and her Danno as they greeted one another.
"Wouldn't miss pizza for the world," Tess told him sweetly, stepping to give him a warm, loving kiss. Her father used to say that with the right person, kisses were proper greetings, she felt like that with Danny. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't quickly been backpeddling on her views on love, moreso on marriage and the like. She couldn't help but think about those kinds of things now that they were together. They fit so perfectly, she was at home as long as they were in each others company. Hell, she had even been browsing wedding gowns online (and promptly deleting her browser history whenever Veronica came over).
Her arms still around him, she glanced down at Zoe, who had snaked her way between their legs to rub them both at the same time. "I missed her too," She said, turning her had to peck him on the lips once more before she released him, bending to scoop the fluffy kitten into her arms. She smiled once she was level with Danny again, running her fingers of one hand thru the soft fur, earning a delighted round of purs. "I always miss all of you guys, I just want to spend forever with you all." She couldn't imagine leaving this place at this point. She didn't want to know how to go back. She missed her Dad and her brother, but she just hoped they'd come here instead.
Zoe leapt from Tess' arms to the couch, climbing hurriedly to the top to take her little makeshift throne, watching everyone with a mildly approving gaze. Tess had never owned a cat before, so she hadn't realized that the cat actually owned her at first. That had quickly become apparent and she shook her head, reaching to brush a hand through Grace's long, dark hair. "Did you and Caroline have a whole bunch of crazy fun today?" She asked, she had taken an active interest in Grace's life over the last five weeks or so.
"Um, nothing crazy but we did have a lot of fun!" Grace told her, sitting up straight to smile at her. "She showed me show to use the CD changer and we were dancing like fools!" She did a silly little move to show them what she meant before she laughed. "And um, we started reading Anne of Green Gables. I don't know if I like it yet, but she makes it all sound a lot better than just reading it in the quiet."
