"Murdered?" he said, calling that word out of the ones she had said as it seemed to make more sense than most. "Murdered??" He clenched and unclenched his fists tightly at his sides, resisting the urge to slap her across the face for the outrage.
"You are being put to death for crimes against your King, your Country, and your God. It is not as if you are being held up by Highwayman on a country road," he spat. Nonetheless, he did put the cross away, as he had given her no reason to believe that she was supernatural. Not that he was any less annoyed by her presence here.
"What is this insanity that you speak? Where is this place?"
